As Drake saw who was standing before them outside the elevator door, he changed his mood in a split second.
"Hello, Kyle!" he greeted Kyle with his usual cheerful smile.
"Hello, Drake..." Kyle replied to his greeting.
"I heard you were just around..." Drake said.
"Oh, yes... I came nearby to run some errands. Yesterday Elena told me she has a meeting in this hotel. So I thought of picking her up from here since both are heading to our studio." giving someone an explanation of a suspicious situation without that person requesting it is a way to increase the suspicion, not decrease it. That's what Kyle was intentionally doing right now. Giving reasons for Drake to believe something is happening between him and Elena.
