I really want to kill this man!

Howard pov. My visitor is a sorcerer whose name is Moros. Two centuries ago, both he and Gina were the most capable and trustworthy dukes in the kingdom to me. At first, many vampire members of the royal family were very much against my granting them power and status. But my trust was proven to be correct. Gina would have given up her own life to protect me. Moros still treats me with great respect and continues to work for me; even if I am no longer king, he still calls me with great respect: Your Majesty. He looks as young now as he did two hundred years ago because he uses some witch magic and herbs to keep him alive. However, in the whole witch tribe, no one can do this but him. He is very powerful and can help me out of many troubles. I took the ring and went to the study with Moros. At this time, there were only two of us in the room. "Your Majesty, is that one the descendant of the Lannister dukes?" Moros teased. I spoke with a tone of anger when I thought of what that stupid woman had just done: "Yes. But she can't even compare to Gina. I've never seen such a stupid woman!" "Maybe she needs a little time. She has Lannister blood running through her body; I don't think it will be too bad." Moros reassured me. I sighed heavily, "Let's not talk about her." Moros's expression became a little more serious: "The gem you asked me to look for before, there is a clue. It's in the town of Santa Cruz!" "The town where Kayla is?" "Yes, my esteemed Majesty!" Moros paused for a moment before continuing, "Your Majesty, to build up our strength, we shouldn't attract the attention of the humans and Ryan at this time. That would get us into trouble. Perhaps it would be a good choice to let Miss Kayla return to the town for the time being. After all, she used to be a resident of the town." "I understand what you mean," I responded to Moros. Using Kayla's human identity would indeed make many things much easier. But when I thought of Kayla being very disobedient to me, I was a little hesitant again. But the hesitation didn't last long. Because I already had an arrangement in my mind. "Okay, I give Kayla permission to return to the town!" However, to avoid some trouble, I had to give her some warning before she left. She must not be allowed to reveal her identity and must obey me. Kayla POV. Howard actually agreed to let me come back to the town! And he gave me a daylight ring! This was unbelievable! I knew that Howard had another purpose, although I didn't know exactly what that purpose was. But when I wore the ring and stood in the sun again without getting burned, I was so excited. It all seemed to be because of the arrival of that mysterious sorcerer Moros. Moros called Howard his majesty. Could the demon be the king? After they went to the study, I tried to use my sensitive hearing to eavesdrop on their conversation. But I didn't hear anything. By the time they came out, Howard had announced two things: the daylight ring and the return to the town. These were clearly two things that made me thrilled. But at the moment, all I could feel was unease! I couldn't believe that Howard was asking me to go back out of the goodness of his heart! What was his purpose? A vampire king? Did he want to take his vampire army to the town? But if that was the case, why did he want me to go back first? Maybe Howard had his wizard subordinates put a spell on me to do something crazy when I got back to town? The more I thought about it, the more fear I felt. Finally, I concluded that I couldn't bring disaster back to the town; I had to run. And I couldn't show it now, I had to pretend that nothing was wrong, and when he let me go completely, I had to run away immediately. Yes, that's it! I was firm in my thoughts. As the sun was just sinking over the mountains and night was beginning to fall, I began to say goodbye to Howard. My mouth said, "It's great to finally be back in town, back with my family and friends!" But what was on my mind was the next escape route. At this point, Howard and I were standing in front of the cottage. "Goodbye, Howard," I said to Howard. "Before you leave, I have two more things I must tell you." Howard suddenly approached me with a mysterious expression. My curiosity was instantly piqued. Was Howard going to issue a horrible mission for me to carry out? I was a little tight and asked, "What?" A glass of blood suddenly appeared in Howard's hand. He raised the glass and waved it in front of my eyes, saying, "Drink it, and I'll tell you." I looked at him suspiciously. He fed me first maybe because he feared that I would make a mistake in carrying out the task. No, I was not going to carry out any of the tasks he said at all. But this cup of blood was enough to hold me for a while when I was on the run. I reached out to take the cup and said, "Thank you." But as I drank the blood from the glass, I saw that odd smile appear again at the corner of Howard's mouth. I didn't have time to guess the hidden message behind that smile. My throat began to burn. "Ah! What did you put in here?" I screamed while coughing violently. "I put a little vervain juice in it." Howard answered me with a mischievous grin on his face. I coughed so painfully that I felt like my throat was burning with acid; my throat, my stomach, every part of my body was aching violently. At this point, Howard came close to my ear and whispered."What I'm going to tell you is, number one: never trust anyone and don't reveal your identity easily! Second ......" Halfway through his sentence, he suddenly stopped. He squeezed my jaw very hard. The moment my eyes locked with his, a chill rose up in my back. The feeling of danger was like death coming. At that moment, his voice rang in my ears, "Second: you must obey me and don't try to betray me. Otherwise, the consequences are severe!" After he finished speaking, he turned and entered the villa, leaving me curled up on the floor alone in pain. Did he say betrayal? Was it a warning to me? Did he already know about my attempt to escape? No! If he already knew, it would have been more than vervain. I would have died in his hands! At this moment, I really wanted to kill this man! But I also clearly knew that with my current strength, I could not kill him at all. So I had to escape this demon as soon as possible!
