"That's not important," he replied, his eyes narrowing. "All you need to know is that you owe me, and you're going to repay that debt by working for me." Abigail felt a knot form in her stomach. She didn't know what kind of work he had in mind, but she knew it couldn't be anything good. She had to find a way out of this, but she didn't know how. "I can't do this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I won't do this." The man's expression darkened, and Abigail knew she had made a mistake.
