“Red!” Stefan yelled and ran up to me when I walked out of the bedroom with Nolan.
I smiled when I saw him. “Hey, Stefan.” We’ve been spending a lot of time together since he got back a week ago. He even sits in and watches my training sometimes waiting for me. When schooling for him starts again in the castle I’ll miss that.
Nolan looked down at him. “We’re going out to see a show as a family.”
Stefan looked away. “But Red isn’t really family.” He shrugged. “I just wanted to hang out with her again, not go see some show.” What he said hurt me and it showed on my face. I knew technically we weren’t family. I haven’t even been around for very long and we don't share blood. I do want to be his family so I hope he’d eventually see me like that.
