The Time Has Come

1700 Words
"Wake up, Ladybug!" shouts a familiar voice and starts moving me from side to side, interrupting my sleep, "The day has come, there are many things to do." "Leave me alone, I'm awake," I complain, my voice hoarse and my eyes still closed. I get out of bed and Lion makes a sound of disgust when he notices my naked state, immediately looking away. If only he knew why I'm like this, "I'm ready to..." A big yawn interrupts my speech but I still move until I can get to my clothes. I'm too tired, and I can still feel how empty my balls are. I think it will take me a full week to recover. During the course of the day, I wonder if this is worth it, all the training and, honestly, the suffering I've been through. I'm not an athlete, this doesn't interest me enough to put up with all the crap you have to go through. I will never accept this out loud but I would be much happier in Cambridge, studying everything I am passionate about, even if it would mean being among humans. And I would make a hell of a lot more money in my lifetime if I decided to go full time into mathematical physics, even if I just want to do research. But I need the exercise and suffering to keep me healthy, and I need to know that I am capable of defending myself if I ever need to. Also, I have to agree that my life got a lot better because of this. At least people stopped bullying me all the time when I started defending myself. So I guess all in all, it was worth it. { Midnight } Mortified is an understatement for how I feel. I feel so weird I didn't even go to work, I stayed cooped up all day thinking about how weird it's going to be when I look at Grayson again after we saw our most intimate parts being stimulated by ourselves. Maybe it was extremely hot, but it's weird nonetheless. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at him normally after I saw his huge dïck with so much detail. "I made a video once, having sëx with someone. My mother saw it and stopped talking to me, she even kicked me out of her house," Fiona tells me, trying to console me. We've been lying on my bed for about three hours, "Maybe because it was with her husband." "Wow, that's... extreme," I blink and can't help but let out a small laugh. Fiona is funny and between us, a little bit dumb. But I like her. My cell phone rings with another text from Lion and I let out all the air, he's more irritable than usual today, "Time to get ready, the fight will start in an hour." I realize that this time, those people who comment and insult me on Twitter will be there to watch the fight. That's enough to want to give my maximum potential, physically speaking. I can't do anything to get better mentally, at least not overnight. I put on a white skirt and a pink shirt that accentuates my breasts. Fiona fixes my hair and somehow it looks curly and pretty but it doesn't look like I put much effort into it. She puts on more makeup than I'm used to and the result is amazing. I never thought I could look so pretty. And that I could stand in a mirror next to a gorgeous omega like Fiona and feel like I'm on her level. We walk to the gym to meet Lion, Grayson and Baxter. Fiona's introduction with Bax is quite complicated because she's not very bright and doesn't understand that he's not deaf. She keeps talking and covering her mouth so he doesn't read her lips, and I don't have the heart to tell her that Bax has been listening to everything. On top of that, Grayson has been moving around like he's a bunny that can't sit still and he talks so much that I can't even keep up with him in everything he's saying. It's really cute to see him this way, but it also worries me a little bit. "Gray, shut up. You're driving me crazy," Lion asks him as we get out of the van, putting his hands on his shoulders and massaging him, "It's going to be okay, take it easy." "Don't worry, he gets like this whenever he's anxious," Bax reassures us with a carefree smile. Fiona has no idea what he just said, but nods her head as well, very enthusiastically. Bax tries not to laugh at that. "Why do you feel the need to keep repeating that everything is going to be okay? "Gray asks, his fingers are tapping his thigh repeatedly, "Whenever people say everything is okay, everything is wrong. I'm very tired, I think training so much is counterproductive because now I just want to lie down and rest, not give my full potential. Even though we all know that my potential is very, very, very, very far from being good. Nothing about me is good. No..." "I understand, sorry," Lion interrupts him and pushes him a little to walk inside, we just follow them through the building. Bax steps to Gray's side trying to help him, but it doesn't seem to work much. "No, Bax, Jake is going to cheat, I'm sure of it. The judges are bought, these fights are always corrupt..." "That's not true, there aren't judges," Lion mutters, rolling his eyes. Fiona laughs and Gray turns to her immediately. It's the first time he's acknowledged our presence. "And who the hell are you?" he asks, giving her a dirty look, "Who let this omega in with us?" "My name is Fiona, we met a few days ago. Mid saved me at the club, remember?" "Oh yeah, you're the daddy issues girl aren't you? I mean, because you like old men. How disgusting, there are better ways to make money," he makes a disgusted face and then turns to the front again. Fiona blinks several times and I apologize for Gray, I'm sure he wasn't rude on purpose... but I'm also sure Fiona didn't quite understand the insult, "Mid, do you think I'm going to win?" "No," I answer honestly. I've seen that he trains a lot and that he's good when he fights Lion, but according to everyone else, Jake is better. However, Gray gives me a somewhat desperate look and I understand that at this point he needs me to lie to him, "Actually, now that I analyze it, I think you're going to be the winner. You're very good and Jake doesn't stand a chance against you.” "Yeah, right," Gray laughs and when we get to the room where I assume he has to get ready, he starts hopping on the tips of his toes, "I want to leave." "You're not leaving," Lion refuses, sounding bored despite the crisis Gray is going through. I'd like to do or say something to help him, but I don’t know how, "You won't leave because this is, what did you call it, a barbaric sport that doesn't require intelligence?" "Exactly. And all I have is intelligence," Gray complains starting to pace back and forth, "I have no skill or strength. He’s going to kill me." "Don't lie to yourself, you know you're strong enough to beat him," Bax backs him up, "All you need to do is believe it and not underestimate yourself. I know you can do it." "You're just saying that because you love me," Gray complains, "But I don't love myself. I'm very aware of how worthless I am." "He's stressing me out so much. Tell him to stop fidgeting," Fiona whispers to me. Lion just ignores him as if he's not expressing his fears and goes out. Baxter waves his hands in front of Gray, not knowing what to respond to that. I take a breath and move closer to Gray, putting my hands on his shoulders to stop him from moving. "Ignore me, Mid, I always get like this. It's never going to get easier, I just suck and I'll suck forever," he shrugs as if it doesn't matter. "Listen," I reach up to cup his face and make use of my extensive memory to recall anything I've read about people like Gray, "Tell me what your favorite thing in the world is." "Angel, I don't have time for this. The fight starts in fifteen minutes. In a matter of fifteen minutes I'm going to be publicly humiliated once again and that stupid Twitter account is going to keep saying mean things about me, and the whole clan is going to keep making fun of my incompetence. In 900 seconds all the hours I spent killing myself on BM will have been wasted because..." "Tell me what your favorite thing in the world is," I repeat, but Gray rolls his eyes and opens his mouth to complain again, "Okay... let's talk about something that matters then. Did you like the video I sent yesterday?" Gray's eyes change in half a second in front of me. I realize exactly at the moment that his entire train of thought gets sucked into something else. "Are you kidding? Of course I liked it. Wasn't it clear to you when I came like a rocket?" "Shh!" I exclaim and cover his mouth. Fiona tries to press her lips together to keep from laughing but she heard it anyway and Baxter bites his lips and turns elsewhere but his cheeks have turned red, "So what was your favorite part?" Gray starts describing the video second by second and I let him ramble on for minutes about a million things (all completely dirty and inappropriate) nodding when it's right and commenting sometimes. But then Lion comes in and starts putting the gloves on Gray, who only then remembers where we are and why. However, he doesn't have time to panic anymore because someone calls his name and a bunch of female screams startle us.
