“What is it?” Brian asked.
“Is your boyfriend… an Alpha?” Valerie asked as she looked directly at her employee’s eyes.
There was no escaping such a direct question yet Brian wanted to avoid answering it if possible. “What do you think?” He asked.
“His pheromones must be very strong… If I had to say then he’s a very high level alpha…” Valerie explained, then continued in an even more serious voice. “How are you two going to be in a relationship if you’re a Beta?” She asked.
That was the exact question Brian didn’t want to answer. ‘Should I just tell her the truth… that I’m not a Beta…’ He thought to himself but quickly dismissed the thought. ‘No, then I’d be betraying her trust…’
