“Just a moment Brian…” Valerie pulled the man aside and spoke quietly. “This place is insanely expensive… Why would he bring us here of all places?” She asked.
“He frequents these kind of places.” Brian explained. “Don’t think much of it and calm down. It shows how nervous you are.”
“I… I wanted to treat you guys, but this is way out of budget.” Valerie said while looking at the other male that had already reserved the table.
“I’ll treat you so please accept it.” Harvey said with a smile on his face. He could clearly overhear the two people’s conversation.
“That’s… It’s hard for me to accept that.” Valerie said while trying to act natural. To her an Alpha it was more about pride than anything else. She didn’t want to risk offending the man in front of her
