Lies
“Jay…”
Jay didn’t look at me, he continued to stare at the sign in front of us. He was holding on to my hand so tightly, like letting go would pull him away and towards HER.
What was I supposed to do?
The man I loved was hurting and I could see it plain as day.
But the only question going through my mind over and over again… how could he do this to me? How could he hurt me like this?
I looked at the sign.
‘Welcome to Zara and Devan’s Engagement’
I wondered how it would feel to see the sign say Zara and Jay…
