Harker paced in the living room. He was ready to send out the police or SWAT. Alison wasn't answering his phone calls or his texts. Okay. She had texted him-I’m fine-but that didn’t prove anything. A kidnapper could easily text that.
He tried calling Ellie again, but she didn’t answer either. Damn it. Alison had better be over there. He had one option left before he went looking for her. He dialed Adrian.
“Harker,” said Adrian. “I can’t say a word. Do you know how much trouble I got in because you charged into the Club like Attila the Hun? Ellie blamed me.”
“Just tell me that Alison is okay.” That’s all he wanted to know.
