Alison sat on the floor in Ellie’s apartment and took a huge bite of pizza before stuffing a chunk of honey mango into her mouth. “Oh, my god,” she mumbled around the food. “This is so good.” She pointed her fork at the plate of mangoes. “You have got to try it with pizza.”
“I’ll pass.” Adrian got up from the couch and headed for the kitchen.
“Do you have any chocolate?” She swallowed. “That would be perfect with the mango and pizza.”
“Ah, yeah. I think so.” He glanced at Ellie.
“Get the woman some chocolate.” Ellie waved her hand. “She’s eating for two now.”
“I shouldn’t have told you that.” Alison ate another piece of mango.
“Why?” asked Ellie.
“I haven’t told my mom or aunt yet.”
