I got the groceries.” “I’m fine.” She opened the door and stepped out of the car. “You’re pale.” He got out and popped the trunk. “I can carry a bag of groceries.” She walked to the back of the car, her stomach twisting. “I know you can, but you don’t need to. I’ve got this.” He bent to kiss her. The scent of sauerkraut on his shirt made bile surge up her throat. “I’m going to puke.” She covered her mouth and raced across the garage. “Harker!
