THE MISSING JOTUN

1158 Words
Silver The rain of sadness and loneliness hits you hard like a stone and when no one appears as your messiah in a terrible pathway, you exhaust to your death and your will to fight dies along with you. But if you have this fire burning inside your heart to keep you alive and to fight back everything for everything you wanted To conquer, you will rise against the dark and shine against the sun.  The light snow started to fall and everything seemed quiet and peaceful, but as I have said earlier, appearances can be deceiving.. So, don’t trust everything you see with your naked eyes… Sometimes you have to see through the eyes of your heart and mind. As soon as Lord Vikram dropped the bomb n my head, i dropped back in the couch with my heart palpating out fo mynchest. I might be the strongest queen alive but my heart has suffered a lot and it can’t bear the pain. “No.. you are lying…” I muttered loudly. “Why would i? You know I don't have to lie to you, even if it means you will lose everything… Eira.. you have to be strong… because the worst is yet to come..” Lord Vikram started with a calm tone. “How can she bring crows with her? It is not possible for her…” I still don’t want to believe that s**t. “Why not? You Can't keep your eyes closed and expect others not to see because you see darkness… no, my dear.. You have seen it with yourself… i can see it through your mind that you are aware of your daughter’s abilities…” he stated further. I wanted to runaway from this place in seeking reality but this is reality and i have to face it.. I can’t keep staying like this and don’t believe everything I hear… I have to see it through the eyes of my mind and my heart. “She is just a child..” I commented while consoling myself not to cry. “Do you really think that? Abria is no child.. Yeah this can be true that she is not much aware of this place and its people but she is not a child… mark my word, dear.. All i can do is to warn you in time…”  His words resembled Daphne's… now my concern is high and self esteem low, i couldn’t help it but to think negatively about everything… “What am I supposed to do now? She is my daughter and I can't see anything happening to her…” I asked for advice from him. “Save her from the evil… she already has a possessed spirit inside her body… an ancient goddess whose goals never achieved in past life… she is here to make her wishes fulfil and I am sure her wishes are not in behalf of doing something dangerous for anyone… I hope you are getting it…” he said and I nodded my head. “Keep her away from the evil… show her the good side of love… in time if she learned to control her powers and use them beneficially, that will be good for you and the kingdom but in case this doesn’t happen, i can’t explain what kind of destruction to be seen…”  Lord Vikram was damn serious about this and now I have to confront Daphne and zohar. Since they are the only people on my side, I have to include them in every meeting. Soon, I left the tower to attend the meetings. I was present in the hall physically but my mind was travelling to the places where the possibility of destruction was happening… It was too horrible to imagine the devastation caused by my child. Suddenly, the door opened and Daphnecame running through the hallway. I was anxious already and the way she was coming with an urgency, I was ready to explode. “What happened?” I asked her. “My team… which was searching for Lucian found something else than him…” she said while gasping for air. “What does that mean?” I was curious and terrified. “A body.. They found a body floating in the ocean… the team assumed it was a dead body unless they retrieved it and found the person alive..” she was stammering which depicts something was not right. “Alright.. Then?” I tried to keep her calm as she was nervous.. “That body is… that body is of a jotun…” she sighed deeply before rubbing her face. “Great… like everything happening wasn’t enough… now a jotun? Where is he?” I asked for her. “We brought him here… he is in infirmary right now…” she said. “Why did you bring him here? It’s not safe..” I was irritated by their actions. “We had no choice.. What if that jotun is a spy or something? We need to interrogate him… I couldn't let it go so I brought him here… it was my decision…” she explained it to me and I calmed down after hearing that… “Okay but make sure not to tell anyone about this.. Inform your team and the healers that they will not tell anyone about this.. Once this jotun is conscious, you can start your interrogation with him.” I suggested it to her. “No problem… It will be fine with me… and.. Did you talk to Lord Vikram?” she asked me about that matter. “Yes… I went to see him this morning and I cannot explain everything in this short time.. There are things of concern that I want to discuss with you and Zohar personally. I have already sent a messenger to inform him about this… even if he is not available here, we will conduct a meeting online..” i explain a few things to her so she will keep them in her mind. “Is everything okay?” she asked at the end. “No… nothing is okay.. In fact, we have to prepare for a few things… a storm is coming this way…”  I informed her clearly. She nodded her head and left. I sighed and rubbed my hands over my face. Why do I feel uneasy after this confrontation? I know I should feel this way but still, it will hurt me if I find out that the prophecy depicted on behalf of my daughter comes out to be true. My whole body was tense and I wanted to give in…  “Elijah… please.. Come back… I need you here with me.. I need you to stand beside me to hold me when I fall and watch me rise and come out stronger… Please, I need you…” The hot tears poured down as lava erupted from the mouth of a volcano.
