Trouble

Alexander was done with the day’s business and he couldn’t be more glad, finally he had time to torture his new prisoners. Just thinking of all the things he would do to them gave him ultimate satisfaction. He knew that it sounded crazy but that was just his own type of fun and no he wasn’t crazy at all. Well, maybe he was a bit crazy but it didn’t bother him at all in any way. “Sire, news has it that sir Derrick’s daughter has just arrived and she is currently in the castle” Andrew announced as he watched the king’s expression. “And why should I be bothered by that?” Alexander asked his eyes still on the window of the carriage. “Well..” Andrew cleared his throat before continued . “She is here to see you,” He swallowed, his eyes not leaving the king. With a long sigh, the king closed his eyes and rested his head on the side of the carriage. “Andrew, I need you to remind me again why I can’t just snap that wrench’s neck , huh?” His voice was calm but his words were dangerous “My lord..sire you can’t do that, she is your uncle’s daughter which means she’s still your relative. Remember your father’s words” Andrew tried to explain to the king “They should be so lucky that I value my father so much if not they would be nothing but rotten bones now feasted by the termites and insects in the soil” He slowly opened his eyes. “My lord, don’t stress about them. They do not deserve your time or thought” Andrew said. Just then the carriage came to a halt as a guard announced the entrance of the king. The doors were swung open by the guards as they waited for him to climb out. Elegantly and steadily, the king bent his head as he climbed down the large carriage and right behind him was his right hand man. The guards bent their head in respect as he walked passed them heading to the hallway when he noticed a figure running towards him. “My lord, my lord” The feminine voice was getting closer and closer and Alexander already knew who it was. “My lord, how have you been?” Her smile widened as she bowed a little in respect. The king moved his eyes to look at her every part from her long brown curly hair to her green orbs, she had a long sky blue dress on. Her breasts were slightly pushed up by the tightness of the corset that she wore. Her pale skin made the color of her eyes look dull and...empty. “Katherine, there’s something awfully wrong today” The king said “What is it my lord? Is it my dress? I shall go change it right away?” Katherine said as her eyes moved over her dress. “Don’t bother, it wouldn’t make it any less worse” He said as he walked passed her in his slow and steady pace. “My lord, it has been a while since we have last seen each other, a little welcome will be quite polite of you” Katherine said meeting up with his pace. “May I remind you that you are speaking to the king? You should watch your tongue” Andrew shot in. “Let her be Andrew, it seems she hasn’t changed a bit. Tongue still as sharp as a blade” The tip of his lips lifted dangerously slow. “I can’t deny the fact that you are the king but you are also my cousin. And Andrew, you should learn to mind your business. I shall see you at dinner” She turned away and walked angrily. “That little....” Andrew gritty as he watched her back while she walked away. “Let her be Andrew, Katherine will learn to behave herself very soon” Alexander smile increased but Andrew could only stare at his king because he dared not question the king, especially when he was in a bad mood. The king slowed walked into his chambers with his right hand man following behind him. He had already woke up from the wrong side of the bed and seeing that woman’s face made him even more angrier and irritated. But what could he do? He respected his father so much, so he just had to bear with these people. He sighed loudly, enough for Andrew to hear. “Is there a problem my lord?” Andrew asked wondering what had made his king sigh so loudly. “I am bored Andrew, and I am beginning to have thought in my head. Why don’t we do something fun tonight? To keep me entertained”. He said without looking at Andrew. “Oh...that is a wonderful idea my lord. Why don’t we hold a ball? To welcome your cousin. It would be a wonderful evening” Andrew said offering the king a sweet smile. “Hmmm” The king looked like he was in thought, removing his golden crown from his head, he placed it on the table and sat on a chair, facing the large oval mirror. “That will be wonderful Andrew although she doesn’t deserve my welcoming, and why aren’t you this smart always? Huh?” His eyes turned to Andrew and back to the mirror. “Anyways, I think I need a new hair style, what do you think?” “I...well, my lord. That would be nice” Andrew asked flashing a smile. “Are you trying to indirectly say my hair looks ugly and unkempt?” The king turned towards Andrew, his left brow raised as he looked at the man. “W..what?, no my lord.. I would never say that”. Beads of sweat had already started to form on the poor man’s head. Was this man trying to trick him? “Don’t give me that look Andrew, I am merely pulling your leg. You of all people know I am a handsome man” His smile flashing his perfect teeth at the man. “Yes my lord, I agree with you completely”, Andrew smiled nervously rubbing the back of his neck with his palm. “Then off you go, make preparations for the ball. Who knows I might see something that interests me” The king said tapping his fingers on the wooden table. “Okay my lord” Andrew bowed and with that he hurriedly walked out of the room.
