Little dragon

"And just what are you planning to do with this?" This time, his voice was menacing. Was she really willing to pick up a fight with him? Bet your sweet ass she did! "If you're so eager to find out-" Angelique started to speak, but before she could do anything, Aellioah swiftly kicked the scepter out of her hands and grabbed her arm, spinning her around and tossing her on the bed. It all happened so quickly, Angelique didn't even have the time to process what happened. She hit the bed, the motion of falling filling her stomach with a painful sensation and pausing all her thoughts for a split second. "You're slow." Aellioah commented, still sitting in his spot, a few feet away from the bed, his hands tucked into the pockets of his pants. She took a few moments to stare at the ceiling and the pinned canopy curtains, blinking slowly, trying to bring herself to get up. "What do you want, alien?" she breathed out, defeated. "Isn't it obvious by now?" his answer came without hesitation, as he approached the bed again, slow movements, elegant and fluid. "I want it all." His words felt heavy and his voice was unsettling. His knees hit the bed , trapping her legs between them as he continued to stand , looking down upon her body. As strange as the form she chose to wear was, she still sparked something within him. A hunger he hadn't felt in eons. A lingering need to claim her whole being- "You might have to repeat yourself, alien." Angelique broke his chain of thoughts, suddenly moving up, her elbow hitting against his side as hard as she could, forcing him away from her. Startled by the surprisingly painful impact, Aellioah stumbled away, his hands immediately covering his side, staring blankly at her. Something new and terrifying happened. He could not read her next move and as stupid as it might sound, this actually made him crave her more. Never had he stumbled upon a being who managed to block him out of their mind out of sheer spite. Angelique rolled out of bed and rushed to grab her scepter again, bending down for it, but before the black scepter was back in her hand, Aellioah's hand grabbed her long ponytail, tugging her backwards. A loud pained groan filled the room as the woman found herself yanked back with way too much force, a few of her vertebrae popping from the impact. Her hands automatically went up, holding the base of her ponytail, trying to ease some of the force he was holding her with. "Tit for tat, little dragon." Aellioah growled, twisting the thick ponytail around his hand for a better grip, tugging her once again backwards, forcing her to move closer. "You f*****g i***t-" Angelique hissed under her breath, before yelping again and doing as forced to. "Listen here, little dragon-" Aellioah whispered in her ear when she was close enough. "We can play all the games you want, but there is no running away from me, from this. Your faith is decided. Was decided from the moment you were born. I don't care what hell you crawled out of, or what puny being had to raise you as their baby, you're mine." he growled in a low threatening way. "So, now, the longer you fight it, the more you'll thin my patience." he continued, his other hand pressing something against her side. Angelique's heart was raging in her chest, threatening to just jump out and leave all this sort of stress behind. Aellioah was terrifying and she wasn't handling it very well. While he claimed ownership over her, she tried her best to just breathe in and out. "Do you understand?" he murmured in her ear, drunkenly breathing in her scent. "Let go of me-" Angelique whispered, her throat dry. "not the correct answer, little dragon." Aellioah growled again, yanking her hair again and sinking the blade of his knife into her side. A sharp stabbing pain left Angelique breathless for a moment. "Think fast." Aellioah dropped her ponytail and his hold on her. "Run to your lovely friends or apologize and let me help-" he offered, like a merciful innocent person. As soon as his hold on her was gone, both her hands moved to her side, where she found the warm handle of a knife that was rammed between her ribs all the way to the hilt. Her vision went blurry and all the color drained from around her. The room started to spin from adrenaline and anxiety. Her eyes scanned her surroundings, landing on his rather peaceful and contempt face. "You're sick..."she whispered, struggling to stand up. "And, you're bleeding." Aellioah gestured to the blood that started to stain her hands. "And you should hurry with a decision. I might have nicked your lung and hm-" he paused shortly."-I'm not sure you have the experience of walking with open trauma-" he shrugged slowly and took a seat on the edge of the bed. She could feel the warm blood spilling all over her hands and at this point, she could both smell and taste it. Not sure if it was actually there, or an illusion of her overly panicked brain. "So, what would it be? Your traitorous friends or-"he shrugged,"-me?" "f**k you-" Angelique hissed hoarsely as she started to walk to the door. The whole room was spinning around her, and besides the pain that started to set it, her stomach theteaned to spill everything she had eaten today. every step was heavier than the previous one and before she made it to th door, her legs gave in, forcing her on her knees. Her back arched forward as she curled over her knees, fighting for air and not slip away into the darkness that started to creep into the corner of her eyes. Behind her, Aellioah approached, a little surprised at her choice. "That might have to wait, little dragon. As eager as I am-" he whispered as he bent down beside her, his hand resting on her back, stroking it slowly. "-It seems you're not very available for that." There was a hint of a smile on his lips. At his touch, the very robust handle of the knife vanished, just as the blood did, the only reminder of it being the acute pain. Aellioah wasn't sure if he could ever really physically hurt her, not in the way she expected him to do so, but toying with her mind was still rather easy, especially when anxiety and fear drove her. "Come, I think you should rest now..." he spoke again, in a soft, rather peculiar tune, nothing threatening or menacing in it. Genuinely careful. Angelique groaned an undecipherable curse under her breath, as she tried to push him away, unsure of what was real or not anymore, but soon the darkness overtook every sense of hers and she fell on her side. Aellioah huffed, an amused smile drawn pn his lips, while his eyes held nothing more but curiosity and maybe a hint of tenderness. His arms wrapped around her slowly and he carried her back to her bed, taking the liberty to pull off her boots and untie her hair before tucking her in. For once, her face was serene and calm. It suited her. Or at least, so he thought. As he tucked her in, he remained a little while, studying her scale-patterned skin with curiosity. His fingers traced them over and over again, lingering on soft spots where he could feel her pulse. To think the last Dragonkin was isolated here, on Earth. On this ruin... surrounded by beings incapable of even understanding her potential... What was her crime to be punished in such a way? "Angelique?" A faint voice from behind the door pulled Aellioah out of his thoughts, and despite his will, when the door opened, Angelique was found alone in her bed.
