"What do you mean she is gone? Where is the damn deck hand, that French guy that was watching her?"
Jeff Allen was panicking. "Look for her, she couldn't have gone far. I was only gone for a few hours and she just disappears?"
He sent his security team out into the streets to find Jane Knight.
She wasn't anywhere, she had just vanished.
A few hours later the astynomía, or Greek Helenic police swarmed the landing. Jeff Allen was on his super yacht, hiding below deck and talking to his father.
"Dad I need my lawyer. The Greek national police are requesting to board the Lazy Jane. I need Arthur Mitchell to call me back. It's urgent."
Grant Allen questioned his only son, "What did you do now, drugs, women, tell me son, did you kill someone?"
Grant knew his son had passions that led him down some questionable choices. He had no idea that he was wanted for kidnapping and rape, but he wouldn't really be surprised.
" Tell me!!" He roared now.
"I...uh I took Jane Knight. I took her on the Lazy Jane. I just needed her to get away from that man, Max Turner. I knew that once she was alone with me, she would agree to marry me. See the error of her ways. She is mine dad."
Grant bellowed. "You were supposed to end it with her, she's that sleezy romance author isn't she?" Jeff frowned, "Don't call her that. She's my fiance. I love her, I plan to marry her, dad please. I need her."
Grant could see his son was desperate for this woman, not thinking clearly. No woman had ever made him feel this type of passion, he couldn't understand his fickle son. He shook his head. He was a lost cause.
Grant quietly told his son to go with the police, but do not say one word."Not one word, you understand me?" Jeff's face turned red.
His father was the only person that he had ever feared. He knew what Grant Allen was capable of. He had seen him do awful things to the people around him. He was grasping at straws now.
"Dad, she's pregnant with my baby. Your grandchild. You need to help me get her back. It could be your hier father. Our blood line. You must find her for me, please."
Grant was intrigued. If this was true, if his messed up son was actually telling the truth, he would need to find this woman, Jane Knight.
He would need her to give him his heir, she could be holding the key to his legacy, Jeff had never produced a grandchild for him as he had demanded for years. "Get married son and stop all of these indescretions. Settle down and make me some legitimate babies."
Yes, Grant was intrigued now. He would look into it.
Jamie and Max...
The plane was ready to take off. It was going through it's pre flight checks and had been cleared for take off. The pilot backed the plane up, away from the terminal and reveal up the loud engines.
The stewardess handed the first class passengers hot towels using a metal utensil. She poured several flutes of champagne to offer her guests. She smiled as she approached Max. "Sir, towel, something to drink?"
Max removed his black framed glasses. The attendant saw his eyes. As he looked at her with those steamy brown eyes. She felt herself go warm inside. She felt like a school girl. He reached his hand out. His finger accidentally had rubbed over her own as he took the towel. Her breath caught.
The male steward behind her said, "Move on Mirna, I need to get by please." He then saw what had held her up. This man had something magnetic about him, he drew you in, it was like raw s*x appeal. He was quite remarkable looking.
He stopped and stared as well for a moment, then shook it off. He pulled Mirna back and whispered."Let's trade, you do coach. I do first class. Please, I'll give you money."
Mirna frowned and refused. The other passengers were waiting.
Max handed the hot towel to Jamie, she was wearing a face mask and a baseball cap pulled low over her dark glasses. Max didn't want anyone to recognize her.
He interlaced his fingers with her possessively and squeezed. She quietly asked him for some champagne. He nodded, pressing her fingers to his moist lips.
"Uh, Mirna a glass of champagne please." He winked at her. Mirna gasped. She dropped her tray and scrambled to pick up the now cool towels. The male attendant grabbed a glass of champagne and handed it to Max.
Max looked at the man, he read his name tag. "Steven is it? I really appreciate the fine service this flight has to offer." Steven was speechless. He was memorized by Max's intense gaze. Mirna stood up now and pushed Steven along, down the isle. "Don't look at him, keep going. Don't look at him." Steven nodded. They were both flustered now.
It was a very long flight. Jamie slept a long time. She woke up kicking her legs and calling out for Max. The drugs in her system were finally wearing off. She badly wanted a pill, she didn't want to wake up. Max pulled her close and stroked her face. "I love you Jamie, your safe now." She touched his mouth and asked him to kiss her. He moved her face mask and kissed her. She tasted him, knowing it was him. She went back to sleep.
The plane went dark as night fell. Jamie had woken up. "Max, I need to pee." He yawned and stretched and stood up. He let her out of the row of seats. She stood up and wobbled. He grabbed her and took her into the bathroom. He sat her down and stepped out. No one was looking. He went back in to help her up.
She pulled him close and unzipped his pants. He smiled at her and asked, "Now my love, here on the plane?" She giggled. "I always wanted to be in the mile high club." He kissed her and sat her up unto the small counter. He closed the toilet lid and moved over it to make room to be intimate with her. He fumbled and awkwardly entered her then as she wrapped her legs around him. It was short and quick, but he badly missed her. He was breathless.
She stroked his face. "Did you sleep at all my love?" He grinned. "I will sleep good now." She pulled up her pants as he straightened his zipper. He opened the door to Mirna and Steven holding each other and looking at the couple as they left the bathroom. "Ah, so sweet," they said, hearing the whole encounter. Since Jamie took off her mask, they were now aware that it was Max and the one and only Jane Knight. They couldn't believe it.
They helped the couple to get back to thier seats and gave Jane a pillow and blanket. Mirna held out a copy of Jane's new book for Jane signed it. To the best flight crew ever, all my best Jane.
Mirna smiled and turned off the over head light. The rest if the passengers in first class that were awake began to murmur now.
They all knew who she was and that she had been missing. The murmurs turned into a hum. Passengers started to get up to go to the first class bathroom to sneak a peak. The co pilate emerged and snuck a look too. Jane put on her cap and sunk down, hiding under her blanket. Max stretched out and covered her to protect her. He would put her in his pocket if he could. Steven approached. "We will be landing soon. The captain thinks it's best to let your party off first and then wait a bit before releasing the other passengers." Max nodded and thanked Steven.
