Kayla and Naomi sit together in silence on the forest floor, both of them finally having calmed down after hearing the news from their Mother about Kayla and who her parents are... "What did she tell you?" Kayla is finally able to speak up after almost 10 minutes of complete silence, slowly bringing herself to look at Naomi who is staring blankly at the soil beneath her, sitting with her knees up as her elbows rest on them. "I overheard her, arguing with Raymond... they were talking about you..." Naomi begins to explain without looking back at her sister. "That's when I walked in on them, and questioned them about what they were talking about. When I walked in, Raymond was yelling at Mom... and I ordered him to stop. That's when Raymond said ‘Why don't you tell her the real reason we made Kayla an Omega...?’" Naomi quotes what the former Alpha asked her Mother upon her walking in on them. "That's when she told me that you're adopted, Kayla..." Naomi says quietly and Kayla's heart breaks, just like the first time she heard the news. She chokes up as her bottom lip quivers, her eyebrows creasing again as she fights hard to stop herself from crying again. "What else?" Kayla asks, watching as Naomi exhales slowly and shakes her head in response. "Mom didn’t do much explaining before I bolted out of there. I was just so angry. I can't believe she's been lying to us...” Naomi says with disappointment, finally turning to stare at Kayla. "I heard them saying I was made an Omega to subdue my power. They knew I would become a Lycan. They said I would only cause harm like my parents before me... that's when I walked in on them... and Raymond told me she's not my Mother..." Kayla explains, her voice still shaky as she stares at Naomi, watching as her sister finally turns to look at her. "We'll need to speak to her... we need answers..." Naomi tells Kayla and Kayla shakes her head profusely before she springs to her feet, continuing to shake her head as she begins pacing around in one spot nervously. "I can't face her... I can't..." Kayla mumbles quietly, feeling more tears threaten to fall. Once she sees her sister on her feet, Naomi stands up as well and stands in front of her worriedly, placing her hands on her shoulder carefully to stop her from pacing, just as she looks down at her. "Kayla... we have to, eventually... We need to know the truth..." Naomi tells her softly, holding onto her sister's shoulders in case she has another breakdown. "But... only when you're ready..." Naomi continues to say, understanding that this is a lot for her baby sister to handle and she will need a bit of time to process everything. "Okay..." Kayla mumbles softly, knowing that sooner or later she will need to go back to the house. But she's glad Naomi is being extremely patient with her and understands that she's not yet willing to see their Mother just yet. Naomi then nods at Kayla before she sighs softly and takes a step back, thinking carefully before she decides to tell her one vital piece of information she needs to know. "You know I'd never keep anything from you, right?" Naomi reassures her and Kayla nods in response. "I know, neither would I..." Kayla answers her, remembering the promise they made to each other long ago. "Good... which is why I want to tell you something that happened earlier..." Naomi trails off and Kayla feels her heart start to race once again, fearing what else Naomi has to tell her. "What is it?" Kayla is almost terrified to ask, unsure if she'll be able to handle such bad news and as soon as Naomi notices how uneasy her sister is becoming, she steps closer to her and places a hand on one of her shoulders, making sure she remains calm as she stares down at her. "Calm down, calm down it's nothing bad... I think..."Naomi reassures her and Kayla sucks in a deep breath and nods at her sister, watching as Naomi takes a few steps from her and inhales deeply. "Tell me..." Kayla insists as she frowns at her sister, trying to figure out why she's taken a step away from her. "I think I awakened my powers..." Naomi finally tells Kayla, and saying it out loud makes it sound even crazier than it is. "What? You did? W-what are they?" Kayla asks with wide eyes, forgetting about what happened with her Mom for a second and instead, taking a moment to be excited for her sister. Naomi then takes a deep breath before she holds out one hand in front of her, continuing to breathe slowly as she tries to centre the power she feels within her on her right hand. And after a few moments, the two of them watch as a flame appears on her entire hand, covering her whole forearm. At first, Naomi flinches and takes a step back, the fire startling her in the beginning. But after a while she slowly grows used to it, remembering that she is somehow immune to the heat of the flame. "Fire..." Naomi finally tells her and Kayla panics slightly as she stares between Naomi's burning hand and Naomi, seeing that she is completely unfazed by her ability to control fire. "Oh my gosh... Naomi... that's so cool! But... isn't it burning you? How isn't it burning you...?" Kayla rambles quickly, letting out a nervous yet terrified laugh as she steps closer to her sister. "No it's not burning me, I'm fine..." Naomi assures her, moving her fingers around as they both watch the flames follow her every movement, all without bringing her any harm. "I'm really glad you've finally activated them... but... does this mean you're a Lycan?" Kayla asks, a little confused about what's going on. Kayla admits, Naomi's scent has changed ever since she became an Alpha. It's something similar to a Lycan, but Kayla knows it's not exactly it... "I don't know Kayla..." Naomi begins, slowly forming a fist to make the flames disappear from her hand. "I think I would've noticed already..." Naomi answers her, knowing that Lycans have a distinct scent. But she will admit that even she can pick up on the changes in her scent... Perhaps she is one... but that would mean... "But you have your powers now... I-it also means we're still sisters right... and what Mom was saying wasn't making any sense at all..." Kayla rushes out and a frown appears on her brows as she stares back at her sister worriedly. "Kayla... you're my sister, no matter what we learn today. Do you understand me?" Naomi tries to convince her and Kayla remains silent, the realisation that they may not have the same parents returning to her mind. "Yes..." Kayla mumbles quietly as she nods her head at her older sister. Naomi then sighs heavily and steps forward to Kayla, carefully wrapping her arms around her and engulfing her in a tender hug. As Kayla hugs Naomi, her eyes shut for a few seconds, noticing that her sister's temperature is much hotter than usual, probably due to her newfound abilities. Nonetheless, she always finds comfort in her sister's hugs and she's lucky she has her here. Kayla doesn't know what she would've done if she weren't. "Come on..." Naomi says softly as she pulls away from Kayla slightly, keeping her hand on Kayla's back as she begins to lead her forward. "Let's go talk to Mom..." Naomi tells her and Kayla nods her head a few times, taking in another shaky breath before letting it go and walking alongside Naomi, the two of them carefully making their way out of the forest to hopefully get some answers from their Mother...
