Chapter 30 - Present - Aaron
"... She will be fine... right? I mean... I had never heard about a wolf who wanted to hide their mating."
Arcana sounded quite unusual while saying, wondering aloud, she watched the group depart after their short visit to Coleman's lands...
And just like her, such doubts also played through her brother's mind as the man could only remember an old friend after meeting with Giselle and her petite figure once more.
"Don't let her appearance fool you two. She's an Alpha like William. So even if this isn't something others could usually handle, such concern is not applied to her or any other Alpha."
Even though she looked as fragile as crystal to anyone else, the Witch was able to tell that Giselle was sturdier than the strongest metals, despite her simple way of presenting herself as if she wasn't worthy of much.
... After all, what would be the worth of her title if she couldn't handle it?
Winnie was more than sure that Nature made no mistake, so she believed that soon, the young Alpha would prove it to anyone else, including herself...
"She will be fine. There is nothing you two need to worry about besides finding your way to your usual routines." Turning around, the Witch confirmed again to them, entering the Pack's house before stopping in her path to add something else to her words. "Oh, I almost forgot! I will be in my room resting, but you can call me when the Alphas call us again... Those two have tired me out more than I expected."
Without hearing the siblings' answer back to her, Winnie went to her quarters… Tying up the long blonde locks while forgetting about Giselle's troubles as she could only think about the good time her pup must be having.

As if I had woken up with the worst flu anyone could have, every part of my body ached, even the ones I didn't know could hurt.
My head was still killing me as if I had slammed it against the wall a few times, leaving me dizzy before I could even get out of bed.
... The walls closed in around me to the point where my room seemed a thousand times smaller than it actually was, and this simple thing was capable of making me breathless with a kind of fear inexplicable...
It was as if something was missing inside me, and although I had no idea what it was, I was afraid I would never have it back again.
I knew that all of this was just craziness in my head, things caused by my fever, as one of the doctors who attended to me said.
Honestly, the Pack's doctor was who had been a little more helpful in taking my doubts away, mentioning that things out of the ordinary were to be expected as the cause wasn't something usual for a Human like me.
Although he also had his doubts about whether it was due to the wine I drank or the old medicine my stepmother gave me... Or, even something else beyond his knowledge that I wasn't quite able to understand amind my fever.
But whatever it was, one thing was true!
I would never want anyone else to feel such kind of pain in my life.
“DADDY! GRANDPA ASKED HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW?!”
Just as the medicine started to give me some relief, Edward showed up, yelling from my room door before jumping in the bed with me by the way the mattress sank next to me.
And while I had never missed Elle as much as I did at that moment, I tried to hide my head uselessly under the pillow before my son took it away.
“Are you feeling better now?!”
His innocent expression as he asked shared with me how worried he must be to see me like this, and sure enough, my father didn't expect him to make so much noise when he sent him here to soothe him down a little bit.
"Yeah... I'm feeling a little better, Eddy. But I'm sorry that I can't play with you yet." Running my hand through his hair, I gave him a brief reply, which cheered him up for a minute before letting him down once again.
"..." Reluctantly, he seemed to want to tell me something but soon changed his mind as he laid his head against my chest with his tiny hand patting it a few times as if Ed wanted to put me to sleep.
… Something that, for sure, he must be mimicking from some cartoon he watched or even from Giselle's actions with him…
However, it didn't take long before Eddy was the one who began to fall asleep.
His eyes slowly closed, only for him to quickly open them again before he did it a few more times.
… And again, until it seemed like he had finally surrendered himself to his nap...
Not much later, I also started to fall asleep while lost in my own thoughts when his young voice surprised me with a simple sentence.
“I want you, Mommy...”
It was more than obvious that he wasn't talking about Apple, and despite my desire to pointlessly correct him, I didn't have the strength to do that then. After all... I also wanted that she was here...
... I also wished that Giselle was there with us at that moment as if we were part of the same lovely family as a couple.
