Chapter 47 - Present
Being in her wolf form was comfortable in a way that Giselle couldn't explain... Maybe for the simple fact that she didn't have to explain herself to anyone as they would always believe she was busy helping with Pack's protection or something like this when they met her around their lands.
Of course, she couldn't do the same at home as they lived far away from the woods, but it didn't mean that she couldn't allow herself to have such freedom when she was alone in her own room...
...Edward soon followed her actions when he joined her in the middle of the night after a nightmare he didn't want to share with her had woken him up...
The pup kept having them a lot more lately than usual, and Elle could start to get more worried about it and what must be going on in his mind.
“I didn’t expect you would call so early.”
A hint of a smile was present in the Winter Witch’s voice when she answered the she-wolf, who wanted to ask her why she said so until Giselle recalled what kind of Supernatural Being the other woman was.
“Sorry for calling so early like this, but I truly need your help once more.”
Still sitting on the bed in her birth suit and hair down, the young Alpha showed a vulnerable figure that didn't match who she really was in the Witch's mind.
“If it’s about your little one, I’m glad to hear you have already come up with a decision about it.”
“You already knew about it?!” Afraid that her mother would hear her, Giselle whisper-yelled back at the Witch, who lightly chuckled before answering her.
"It would be impossible for me not to know that when I was the one who hid the mating between you and your Mate."
Saying what was more than obvious to her... It was never Winny's intention to hide that from the she-wolf, yet it wasn't also her place to let her know about it when Elle was already so lost then.
“Just like the Hybrid pup your Mate had, their bond was also affected by the spell. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about anyone knowing who their father is unless one of you two reveals it.”
Putting an end to the worries, which had been running through Giselle's mind for the past couple of days, the Witch didn't really need to think too hard to know the reason behind her call.
“The spell hides the bond between them along with yours, but the fact it will hide their scent was a little gift of mine in case you decided to keep this pup… Even if I already knew you would do so.”
And explaining it a little better, Winny finished telling, figuring out that the she-wolf would undoubtedly want to confirm it, despite what she had told her earlier.
“You truly meant it? No one will know?”
The news they were Mates would be nothing compared to the fact she had slept with Aaron, so this was what Elle dreaded the most when thinking about that pup that made her so happy and scared at the same time, like most women who would become a mother for the first time.
“Yes, I promise you. Unless one of you reveals it, this child will keep having an unfamiliar one that no wolf in your Pack will know.”
“Thank you... Thank you, Winny… Thank you. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for your help.” Such words didn't seem enough to thank the Witch for her help, especially when Giselle thought about how chaotic her mind had been since the day she let her instincts rule over her.
"You don't need to thank me since this time I need you to give me my p*****t right away." As the young Werewolf had expected, the other woman's help would come at a higher price this time and one that definitely couldn't wait to be paid in the future.
... Yet, it was nothing Elle expected by far...
“Wh-What did you say?” Shocked, she couldn't believe what the Witch had told her yet.
"I said that you cannot use this as an excuse to run away from Mirror Night's competition for the Alpha position. The spell I did on your pup will help you to hide your pregnancy if you want since only those with a very good sense of smell among the Werewolves will be able to notice the change in your scent, so it's up to you to hide it or not. But you definitely can't use that as an excuse to give up your title."
Those were by far words Giselle would never imagine hearing from Winny as the desired p*****t for the extra spell she had done before the she-wolf had even asked for it.
"I... I-I can't do that! I just can not, Winny! I'm not an Alpha!" Forgetting for a moment about where she was, Elle spoke back to her in a louder tone before again whispering her reply. "I can do anything you may want me to do, except this. That is simply impossible!"
"... You may believe that, but this is not what that tone of voice you just used is telling me." After a simple minute of silence, as if she agreed with her at first, the Witch spoke up, bringing Giselle back to the reality she could no longer escape from.
“I… I…”
"Silly child, you are not a future Alpha by mistake. The Gods don't simply pick someone up randomly, as you may believe. So if you wish to continue to deny Destiny about who your Mate is, I'm okay with that since I helped you. But, the least you can do is follow its wish about this as there is nothing else I wish from you but that you join this competition, not mattering if you win that... Or not."
Triggering the instincts she knew all Alphas had in them, Winny completed her speech, settling the price of her spell in a way she knew the Werewolf would have no way to refuse her...
… After all…
The only thing the Witch wanted was for Giselle to be part of the Alpha competition, regardless if it was delayed or not a couple of months until the baby was born or if Elle ended up losing to some other Werewolf as she believed in her own mind, disagreeing with her wolf side.
... Who argued so bitterly then that she only had a choice...
"Okay! I promise I will take part in that!"
