Mommy

Chapter 2 - Past - Giselle It was an early Christmas morning when the d'Alberto couple awoke to the sound of the doorbell, and without much thought, despite their tiredness, they both thought the same thing as they got up... It could only be Aaron. Charles' middle son hadn't yet returned home, and even though it had been hard to keep in touch with him lately, his father had received a message earlier in the week in which he asked them to clean up his room as he would go back just in time for dinner. ... Which ended up not happening as he had planned... Many things in his days were not precisely going how he had thought, everything being much more difficult now than he could even imagine as the hours, days, and weeks seemed to pass by without him even noticing. ... Consequently, making him decide it would be better to return home after the thousands of dilemmas that went through his mind about everything that was happening, which also created the strange situation present in his father's living room at that moment... "Wait! Is that a real baby?" Not being able to shut up, the youngest son of the family commented from the stairs. He and the others also ended up waking up due to the noise of the discussion between father and son mixed with the baby's crying, who eventually woke up due to the older man's yelling. ... After all, it was something he could always expect from his eldest son or the youngest in the future, but never from Aaron. He was the most responsible one among the three... "Of course, that's a real baby, Ronnie. Or what else do you think could be making so much noise?" Sarcastically, Daniel pointed out, slapping his younger brother's head before joining the others in the living room. "I couldn't understand much about what you guys are talking about because of all the noise, but I would appreciate it if you could calm your son down, brother." His words sounded much colder than usual, but it was all due to the fact that he hadn't been able to sleep his standard eight hours as he liked to while he sat next to his stepmother. And that also made Ronnie soon joined them, mimicking his oldest brother while from afar, unbeknownst to anyone, Giselle's heart broke deeper than ever on that Christmas morning... The argument between Aaron and his father continued for a while longer as he tried uselessly calm Edward down until he passed the task to Sabrina, who offered to see if the baby wasn't hungry. However, nothing seemed to work as the little one continued to prove how powerful his young lungs could be. So it ended up making a shy figure that was observing them in silence unable to contain herself any longer as she followed her mother into the kitchen, only to feel that terrible pain once again when Elle confirmed that she wasn't wrong... The little one really had Werewolf blood in his veins, and that was so hard for her to believe; even if the proof was more than evident in his smell, that was still a mix between Aaron's and his she-wolf mother's, and it was just more painful as her step-brother always said he would never go out with any Supernatural being, especially she-wolves. ... Nevertheless, it wasn't able to stop Giselle when she approached the little one with her timid self... "Can... Can I try?" Playing with her fingertips, she asked her mother, who didn't know what else she could do to make the pup stop crying. "... Sure, but be careful. He is still quite young, so we need to be more careful while holding him." Sabrina could hardly understand why her daughter was suggesting this when she answered her... Yes, Giselle liked children, but her mother also knew about Elle's fear of holding younger ones as she was always afraid of dropping them. "I'm sure he must be hungry, but I don't know why he's not eating-" Yet, like magic, it only took placing him in Giselle's arms for the pup to become quiet along with the others, who immediately turned their eyes to the kitchen to see her holding him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. ... And it truly was as several times she always wondered about how it would be the day that she finally had her own child with her Mate while playing with the pups of the Pack... Not even Aaron himself could deny she seemed to be Edward's mother as he looked at her with a feeling that he had no idea how to explain in his chest... Allowing them to talk then in silence, finally coming to a decision about the whole thing while the unexpected new family member now slept in Giselle's arms, feeling the warmth that only her wolf could give him. * * * "Mommy... Mommy!" Eddy's voice calling for me brought me back from my thoughts, a smile unconsciously appearing on my face as I looked into his dark blue eyes, just like his father's. "Mommy, I want hot cocoa!" He continued to say in his coiled words as he pulled me into the living room, one hand holding my sweatpants while the other pointed toward the kitchen. "Okay, okay. Wait a minute. Where are your father and the others?" Worried about the way he was calling me, I quickly asked, afraid that Aaron or someone else might end up overhearing him. "They haven't arrived yet. Dad is sleeping, and Uncle Ronnie said he was going to a friend's house." He answered me cheerfully, moving his hands all around while speaking fast as I saw the figure of his father sleeping on the couch. "But that I shouldn't say to anyone." ... Some children could be very electric and full of energy, and the Werewolf's pups were three times worse than them... "Okay, Honey. I'll make hot cocoa for you, but do you remember what I told you about before? About calling me, mommy?" Kneeling before him, it hurt my heart to see him holding his shirt sadly with his tiny hands as he nodded to me. "To not call you that." With his head down, Eddy repeated the words I said to him daily. "But! But, mommy! No one's at home, and daddy's sleeping!" A sigh left my mouth as I knew perfectly well how he felt about me and the bond that connected both of two more than the simple word aunt. Yet there was nothing that I could do about it without telling the truth... So, right now, he could use it in secret after he called me that by mistake during dinner, and his father forbade him to call me like this even again, telling me not to teach his son silly ideas like that while I couldn't say anything back to him... And at the same time, I could only be grateful that my mother and stepfather were not present with us that day, or it would reveal everything then, and I... I could never hurt my mom like this.
