Chapter 3. 3 Day before High School

“I had so much fun" Cherry. Said Samantha to our new friend we call her Sam or Sammy, we meet her at Church camp.

“I am going to miss you girls. They all hugged each other."  “We going to miss you too Sammy" they all cried.". They were chatting before Sammy goes back to North Carolina she only lives a half-hour away from us." “You make sure you facetime us. We said.” to Sammy.” We had tears in our eyes. “Oh, I will you sexy bitches!" Sammy said.” Shh... we in church camp I told her. “Oops...Sammy says.”

 “I got a bad habit of saying dirty words.” Sammy said.” We all laughed." Nessie and Sherry hugged her." Samie Marie, Savannah smacked her on the ass. “Ouch! You Bitc... I mean brats, the director looked over at us. Shakes her head." We started laughing." Oh man! that hurts." While Sammy rubbing her ass cheeks."  we all laughed." 

Samie Marie and Savannah smirked.  Sherry, and Samie Marie and Nessie, and Savannah all walked away to chat with the new Camp director about being back next year. Cherry, Sammy whispered.” you going to be okay going back there." She is talking about Wade and the bullying." “Yes, I got God on my side." And I got you girls." I said.”

I smiled I am not lying she thought. I do have God and the girls. Sammy did not believe me about being okay.

“Truth me! I told her." I'll be okay."  She took a deep breath, stared into my eyes. She will know I am lying but she let it go for now.

 “Oh okay "Cherry tree "my nickname the girls call me now lol. I like it better than Virgin Cherry that Wade and others say to me.  “Okay, she said and hugged me."

“I love you, Cherry tree!". “I love you too Sammy" we heard the beep! We looked back saw Sammy driver Oh yeah, she rich, her dad is twin brothers with Wade Jefferson's father, yep you got that right. My monster aka bully first cousin with Sammy is a new best friend. We would meet her five years ago, but she was in a private school. So now we became friends she was our new roommate with me and Sherry, Nessie, Samie Maire, Savannah. We got to get to know her. We have become the best of friends now. Anyway, Her daddy co-owner with his twin brother Thomas Jefferson." Of Georgia's Jefferson Tire Factory. " fourth-generation their Great-Grandfather and Grandfather worked in the factory. 

 Their great-grandmother's father owned the company.  Sammy loves the story of how they met.

 Her great-grandmother called her Samie Marie but short for Samantha Marie. She named after her.  She never got to meet her. Sammy had tears in her eyes. 

You can tell her grandmother was very loved even though Sammy didn't meet her. It's good that they keep her memories alive.  “My great grandfather was on his lunch break, he saw this beautiful red-headed beauty with soft rosy cheeks walking down by the big oak tree he would sit, but today he stayed close to the factory.  He was eating his sandwich and watching her sit down under the big oak tree got a book out started reading it.” Sammy said.”

 He was not hungry anymore. He walked down by the old oak tree. He saw the most beautiful view he ever saw. She was reading a book with a beautiful smile. She giggled and he kept just watching her for a little bit longer. He cleared his throat.  “Umm Hey!  Excess me."

  “You're in my spot." He said to her.” My grandmother was staring at him, then she said." Is your name on it? With her smart remark. Ha-ha.”  My grandfather said with a smirk, “yes!

 Yes, it is." She drops her smile” oh..." umm. She said”. He pointed at the tree right beside her head. “Oh, she reads "(This is Wade Thomas Jefferson Tree)!" She guesses it is his tree. But with my grandmother's smart mouth she thought of something clever." She giggled in her head." Well, now I am sitting here.” I guess it both of our trees”. She winked and went back to her book." He was not happy." She ignored him. No one ignores a Jefferson.

  He just stands there staring at the beauty wrench.  She was trying to read but he was standing there making too much noise with groans and growls it was frustrating her. She took a deep breath, looked up at him. His eyes glowed. He had a smirk on his handsome face." He had blonde hair with bright blue eyes.  He is tall with a muscular body. He is built. Sharp jawline with big hands and strong arms.  He had them crossing and watching her. He knew she was checking him out. 

He smirked open his mouth said, "like what you see babe!" She looked at him. “No!" she said.” And winked got up walked away. “

Hey! He said.” She giggled looked back while walking” “Oh, by the way, my name is" Samantha Marie Steele "but you can call me Sammy". Winked and turned around and walked to her daddy car “Hello Daddy!

“Hello, my princess he said." She kissed her daddy on the cheek got in their family car.

 Thomas watched her in the car. He licked his lips. He was so fascinated with this beautiful creature with a smart mouth. Sammy stared out the window saw him staring at her. He smiled and winked and moved his lips “

Your mine" Sammy's eyes went big and blushed. She blew a kiss at him with a middle finger. His smile drops she giggled at him. Sammy started laughing and giggling at Thomas lol she watches him until he walked back to the factory.  

She thought he was a fascinated man. He is a very handsome man he does have a sense of humor she thought.  She had a smile. She cannot wait to come back to the factory. I wonder if  Wade Thomas Jefferson be there again. I know I am not a beauty, but I am a cute wallflower than what I have been told. A shy beauty my momma and daddy tell me. My grandmama says I am God's gift of beauty for them. When you will find the man that will love you. 

“He will see the beauty that God gave you my sweet girl." Grandmama said.” I missed my grandmama. " she had to clear her throat. " No... crying, Sammy.” She would say." 

She remembers the last time I saw my grandmama.  She was 18 years old. She was extremely sick."  She was dying with cancer in the blood. Not curable. 

" her grandmama said., “Sweet girl! Come here my sweet red." She had her arms out for her. Sammy runs in her grandmama's arms. She was in the hospital bed in her house. Her father and mother and siblings in the doorway crying. Sammy looked at them and back at her best friend her Grandmama. 

" Please don't leave me." I need you." 

Oh, sweet red." You see me again." I promise. " I will be here for you in your heart she points to my chest and my head." Remember the memories sweet child." Mamma loves you." 

Everyone got to say they are goodbyes.  I was left. I stayed there until her last breath. She told me she loves me and going to be with papa Steele and our Savior Jesus Christ.

 She had a smile on her face she shut her eyes took one last breath and fell asleep for eternity.  “Until we met again in heaven " no.... grandmama come back... to me." 

I started yelling at her and crying." My daddy came got me and started hugging me while he was crying too. It was his mother that passed away. My mommy came in and took me out and we hugged and cried in each chatter's arms. That was a year ago. It still hurts. I miss her every day.  but I have a smile on my face. I giggled her grandmama would be telling me to take the shot with Mr. hot pants over there." Ha-ha. 

” Sweetheart, what is so funny? Her father Mr. Miles Steele Jr. said. Chuckled. 

“Oh, nothing daddy" just thought about what a friend said to me." It's was funny."

“Oh yeah, what was it." He said." 

“Oh, I forgot. I am sorry daddy." 

“Oh okay, he said.” kissed her on the forehead. 

 6 Months Later... 

“Do you Wade Thomas Jefferson take Samantha Marie Steele to be your beloved wife richer or poorer and sickness and in health and death do you part?.” And the preach repeats it for her but the only thing different is the name. 

“I do... wade Thomas said.”

“I do... Sammy said.”

They were looking into each other's eyes. With friends and family were there to celebrate their holy matrimony. She had a beautiful wedding outside by their Old oak tree.

She did not think she marry Mr. Hot Pants here.

“She giggled."

“What? He said. 

“Oh, nothing I am just so happy." I wish grandmama were here she said.” with teary eyes."

He grabs my hand and kissed me on my wrist.  

“My firecracker red." She is in here he touches my chest where is my heart at.

The preacher said.  “If anyone rejects this couple wedding if so, speak now or holy matrimony.  No one said anything. “Well in the House of God, I Pronounce you". Man and Wife! You may kiss the bride."  “WADE! She gasps”. When he dipped her backward and he kissed her on the lips.

 Everyone clapped and cheered for them.  They were happily married for 17 years when the Good Lord took Sammy."  She passed away at the age of 36 with childbirth with her third child." 

The child lived. She is my great aunt in New Orleans a jazz singer. Miss Sammy Ray's stage name. But her real name is Samantha aka Sammy Scottsdale." Wow, Cherry said." Yeah, great grandfather was heartbroken. " They said he never got over her death." He never remarried or dated a woman." 

He was with them until the age of 40. He died in his sleep with her picture in his hand with a smile on his face." 

That what they told me. Sammy" said. “Cherry remembers Sammy telling that story. It is sad and beautiful at the same time. “Wade is named after his great grandfather. Sammy said” there a picture of her great-grandparents in the dining hall. Wade looks like their great -grandfather Wade Thomas Jefferson. But then she said I look like her great-grandmother

We got the same red hair. And bright greenish-blue eyes. I was like huh." She had the picture on her iPhone. I gasp, I could not believe it. I look just like her. We have a lot of synergies. She likes to read.  She has a big heart and a smart mouth like I do. I giggled. She got reddish hair with bright greenish-blue eyes. Just like me.

I gave Sammy one more hug all us girls did." Say our goodbyes. “Now, remember our girlie. Nessie said. Yeah, brat! Love you Savannah said with a smile”.

" Don't forget to tell your cousin Ryan I hate him lol Samie Marie said.” “I am not going to tell him that said, Sammy." We laughed at Samie Marie Pout. We laughed again. “You better facetime us! “Whore." Sherry said yelling at Sammy."

“Sherry Stephens!" Sherry's shoulders bent down. She knows her in trouble. We looked back and saw Our Teacher Mr. and Mrs. Nichols were at the Church Camp helping out.

“Oops! Sherry said. Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Nichols.”  

They laughed with straight faces and walked away shaking their heads.

“Damn it! Sherry whispered.  I heard that too. Mr. and Mrs. Nichols said.”

We giggled at Sherry." Oh, shut up girls.”

We laughed a little more before Sammy left.” “I love you, bestie she said hugged us one more time”.

“You better be safe and call me. I said”.

We watched Sammy drive away. “I gasp when I saw Wade cross over the lake at the football camp.

I didn't know he was there." He smirked. Oh God, he knew I was here.

 How I didn't see him all summer."  He winked and he mouthed “welcome to your nightmare. " he walked away whistled. 

My heart started beating fast. I do not know what going to happen in High school. I hope he gives me a break this year. OH, Cherry! He will never leave you alone. his is Wade freaking Jefferson the richest aggressive dangerous and sexy man. He will never change.

Not for the better, his is more serious, and it scary. He scares me. Wade his shoulders are wider than before. He looks like a giant tree. Wade Jefferson is a beast. His is bigger now he built like a statue. Football camp changed Mr. wonderful Wade, and I mean a lot.  I stand there staring at him. He is walking away. 

Oh God, it is going to be changing. I feel it in my gut.

Our rides came and got us.

A half-hour drive, my parents told us they are going to be going to Florida next two weeks for daddy policemen ball." They are so excited." They went on their second honeymoon. Now mommy and daddy have been busy this year.

We pulled into the driveway. I looked over at Jefferson's house. 

“Hey! Todd. My father said”

“Hey, Ben Mr. Jefferson.  How your boy doing in football." “I heard some great stuff. About the team this year." 

“Oh, Mr. Jefferson smiled. He just got back from football camp."  “I went to watch them practice they look good Ben."  “We going to beat them damn Frontiers.” I heard, Congratulations you made head coach this year.”. Yeah, I know I am their coach." “I get to coach my son and my boys.”

“Yeah well, that wonderful news. “Hey, we should get our get-together soon.” I and Emilia leaving in two weeks I got to go to a Policemen's Ball in Florida.  “Will do me a favor Todd.?”

“Sure Ben, what that!" 

“Watch over our girls and the house ". I appreciate that."

“Sure buddy, what are friends for." I'll have Wade and D-Man check on the girls." 

“Thanks”.

‘Oh no... she and Sherry whispered it. Looked. at each other. We in big trouble Sherry said.”

“Yep, Cherry said”.

Oh yeah this not going to be a good year. She thought.

Not one bit.
