Behind Closed Doors

After five Years

Kaya's POV

It has five years since I left, I've gone through winter hell to be here. Standing infront of their house I feel a sudden pain in my chest its still the same after all those many years, I wonder if the people change too. Should I proceed? My heart beats so hard it feels that it's coming out of my chest.

I know a lot of things happened in the past five years, I may not be the one that he love now. I left him without an explanation, I even had Mia make a promise not to tell him anything. He'll be safer that way.

Suddenly the door opened and I quickly hid in the bushes. I can see him looking outside, I was about to step up when a kid run towards him. He catch the little girl in an embrace, and my heart shatters. He already have a kid? A moment after a beautiful woman follows the kid outside and smiled at Gunther. I can't believe it.

Somewhere in my heart I knew he will find someone else. The only thing that I have is piece of paper saying were married, but who am I kidding? Of course in all those years that I left he would find somebody else. I ran through the forest but something trips me and I fell in a dark abyss no matter how I struggle I can't stop the fall. I closed my eyes.

I woke up from my nightmare wheezing and drenched with sweat. My heart aches at the idea that the dream was true. I remove my blanket and went outside for some air, the scenery infront of me was breathtaking but for someone who stayed in this small room in the middle of antarctic it grew tiring.

FLASHBACK FIVE YEARS AGO

I prayed to Him intently asking for my father to see me. A few moments past and a blinding light appears in front of me, the light suddenly disappears and a shadow of a man is realized. A dazzling man with golden hair appears in front of my.

"My Kaya, I was about to see you."

"Father I need you to hide me. I don't want to risk his life when I choose a side I'll give you anything just protect him''.

"My child you know that you're bound to choose the balance in the universe must be restored" Michael says softly.

"Baal will come to him. Please If I choose a side now either way he'll die. I know that you knew a way to prolong this."

"What's the point of prolonging the agony, be it now or after 10 years the results will remain unchanged."

"But I want to try and see if there's another way that he'll live. It will give me time and chance for him to still enjoy he's existence. I can't loose him, there will not be a place for him in hell or even in heaven, gideon told me that if he dies he'll disappear."

The angel watch her daughter with agony, he knew that this decision is hard for her to take. Even harder now that she has something to live for.

"If only if I could save you from your sins, my child it must've been tiring for you to live this immortal life in the face of the earth, bound to a decision".

"I had my decision decades ago, but I saw him. He was promised to me, if only if I didn't fall for this cruel test."

Kaya's tears broke Michael's heart, and a feather in his wings fell.

"I'll give you time. I'll do my best to keep you hidden buy you will stay in the everlasting winter."

"I'll give you 5 years to reflect and try to come up with a resolution, but on the summer solstice 5 years from now you will give an answer"

END OF FLASHBACK

I agreed to his terms that's why I'm here. Seeing the same view for the last 5 years, it's only 5 months till summer solstice I need to go back.
