Posting an ad for my private investigator business in the paper was out of the question. The public revelation that the Lady of Spadros had run a business right under Tony’s nose had shamed him terribly. Going door to door in our quadrant was bad enough, but an ad would broadcast it to the entire city. There had to be some way to find work. There had to be. I’d never return to Spadros Manor, especially now that Tony had re-allied himself with Roy Spadros. People had died to get me out of there! I could put an ad for a tenant, though.
