Red and the Hunter
Her heart is beating faster than she has ever felt it beat before, hitting the inside of her ribs with such force she’s sure it’s going to break out and fly away. Still she runs all the way to her friend’s, the Hunter, cabin on the edge of the town.
Red knocks as hard as she can on the front door, her breath coming in gasps as she waits for an answer. After a few seconds, the peep slot opens and she sees a pair of blue eyes that she has dreamed about many a night in secret.
“Red?” The door opens quickly, revealing Mellissa Stone, the best and only female hunter in their small town.
