Lust
Music is pounding in her ears as she makes her way through the crowd in the warehouse. Most of the people here are vampires, or at least part: freshman companions. May is a pure vampire. Even with the loud music, she can hear the beating of the hearts around her, and her own heart beats hard in time with the crowd. Then she sees who she’s looking for—a vampire dancing alone, long flame-like hair swinging around her hips as she moves to the music. May’s heart skips a beat, and she walks forward.
“Chloe,” May says into the noise, and Chloe looks up.
A smile blooms on her pretty, angular face. “You came!”
May nods. May and Chloe go to night college together and have been talking for a while. Chloe told her about the raves and asked her to come. May wasn’t sure if it was a date or not
