Akiku’s serious-looking face lifted when she heard Riley’s voice. She was doing something on the laptop.
She has been in the alpha’s office since this morning. Akiku came with the alpha to work. About a couple of hours ago, Riley left to oversee the training of the recruits.
“Everything alright?” Riley asked when she noticed the frown on her mate’s face.
“I’m officially broke.”
“Is that an issue?”
Riley drew near the conference table. She placed the platter of pasta on it together with the garlic bread.
She went to the pantry to get soda from the fridge. She also grabbed a couple of forks. She glanced at Akiku when she got back. The woman was still frowning.
“It’s an issue, young alpha. They freeze my personal account. They also canceled my credit cards.”
