“MARTINI for the lady.”
Akiku smiled at the bartender when he placed the drink in front of her.
She was back in the city. And there is no better way of welcoming herself back than visiting the bar she frequented.
She smiled at him before she sipped on the glass.
The spirited drink greeted her tongue like an old friend. She drank it up to the last drop.
When she put the empty glass back on the counter, another martini was placed. Her face lifted and gave the smiling bartender a questioning glance.
“It’s from the guy at your three o’clock.”
When Akiku turned, a bald man raised his hand with a drink. Her attention went back to the newly served martini.
