“Take him to the cells, ” I ordered and the tiger and bear dragged the unconscious boy out of my sight; Calico and I went to my office; closing the door behind us.
“Are you okay?” calico asked me when we were alone. The plan had not gone the way we wanted but that’s what happens when it’s rushed.
“The little b***h is going to pay for that, ” I snarled. “She’s more powerful than I expected, but I’m fine.”
“Is that going to be a problem?” he asked.
“Hopefully not, ” I replied. “I just need to be better prepared next time.”
“How do you know there’s going to be a next time?” he said. “Julius and his little brats probably killed her.”
“No, Calico, ” I replied shaking my head. “They weren’t there to kill her, they were protecting her.”
“Why?” he asked.
“I'm not sure, ” I ponde
