I awoke the next morning to my arm flaming hot as I was being summoned. I growled and flung the covers off me and sat up. I pressed back on it to let them know I was on my way. After using the bathroom, I dressed before going to the meeting room. Ondre, I mean Calico, was standing there with his arms crossed.
“What?” I ordered as I walked in.
“Your prisoner is awake, ” he said. “He shifted to his wolf as soon as he awoke and ripped the shackles from the wall. He’s pacing around his cell and refusing to shift back.”
“Great, ” I sighed. “I bet it’s that little imp from the meeting.”
“No, ” he said shaking his head. “This one is different, boss.”
“Different how?” I asked.
“He’s a bit bigger as a wolf than his human form, ” he said. “I think he has alpha blood.”
