“So who are those people who drop you off?” She asked and my stomach knotted. How much do I tell her?
I looked down at her as we walked outside to smoke on break. She looked at me curiously, her big deep blue eyes that almost looked black, like sapphires. I got lost in them and forgot what she asked.
“Huh?” I said and she smirked at me.
“I’ve seen three different people drop you off,” she said.
“Oh. Wait you still need to answer one of mine from earlier,” I deflected.
“Ugh, fine,” she said rolling her sapphire eyes. “Your turn.”
“Do you have any siblings?” I asked.
“Nope, only child,” she said.
“I remember when I was the only child,” I sighed. “My brothers didn’t come along until I was ten or eleven. My dad remarried.”
