Riley’s POV
“Lately I’ve being thinking of ways to expand my company, probably build a new branch in another state, although I want the new one totally different from the ones I already own I said to some of my employees seated with me at the conference hall.
“Any suggestions?” I asked.
“What about an Ad and marketing company?” I heard someone whisper.
“Who asked that?” I asked but got no response
“For the last time, who asked that question?”
“I did” I heard a timid looking boy say before standing up. "I’ve never seen your face before, Do you work here?”
“Yes sir, I work as an intern”
“Okay, Repeat what you said earlier”
“Uhmm, I asked if an Ad and marketing company is a good option”
“Why didn’t you say anything when I asked who said that?”
“I’m sorry sir I really didn’t mean for what I said to heard”
“This is an open meeting where everyone’s suggestion is accepted”
“I’m sorry sir”
“Tell us more about Ad companies”
“Well, based on my recent researches, literally every business enterprise contact Ad companies for adverts, some of these Ad companies don’t just come up with mind blowing adverts and marketing, they also provide adequate facilities and see that the project at hand is executed properly.”
“I like that, what’s your name?”
“My name is Andy Potter”

“Thank you sir”
“May I say something?” Matt another intern asked.
“okay, go ahead”
“Some companies, ours inclusive have units that execute this same thing, so I honestly think it'd be a total waste of resources to open a branch for something a small unit can do”
“You have a point. Riley what do you have to say?”
“Uhmm, if you open an Ad company definitely it’s not going to be all about providing adverts alone”
“What else would it be about?” Matt asked sounding so unsatisfied with what Andy is saying.
“Well, let’s say advert with a touch of entertainment”
“Throw more light on that” I said.
“Uhmm, most of the Ad companies I researched about have limited facilities to carry out job”
“Limited facilities like what?”
“They have the basic tools but they don’t have proper personnel’s like top notch models”
“It’d be so expensive to have top notch models at your beck and call” Matt said.
“Depending on the contract involved, for example, Before this Ad company in London, The Simon’s and son’s Limited crashed, they offered their models, both fashion and all other types of models a non-exclusive contract, That is they are free to work for other agencies but are expected to be available on days agreed by both party, this makes so much easier for the company, when they get business deals from other business enterprises all they have to do call in the needed model, shoot either the video or pictures and then broadcast and promote it everywhere”
“I love that, Andy you and Matt get me a proper business plan on this whole Ad company thing"
“Okay sir”
“You have exactly one week to do that.”
“Okay sir”
“By the way, what actually happened to Ad company you mentioned earlier”
“No one really knows, all I can say for sure is that the value of their stock market hit rock bottom few months after the son of the owner of the company took over. As at this morning He actually put the company on sale which has left all the employees in shock as they’re likely to loose their jobs”
“I need a detailed report about that company on my desk before the end of Monday morning”
“Okay sir”
“That’d be all for today, you can now go back to work” I said as I got up from my chair, left the conference room and went back to my office”
I get back to my office and meet my ex wife Phoebe in my office.
“What do he’ll are you doing here?”
“Calm down, why are you getting yourself so worked up?”
“Phoebe why are you here? What do you want? Talk before a this you out”
“I don’t need anything”
“I think I know what the problem is”
“What problem? There’s no problem”
“I am going to get a restraining order from the police because I’m sick and tired of you coming to spoil my mood every damn day. Like woman move on”
“Come on Riley it hasn’t gotten to that, I just wanted to tell you that your daughters miss you and they’ve being on my neck about visiting you”
“And?”
“Come on Don’t talk like that”
“You know Anna will turn eight in a week right?”
“So What has that got to do with me?”
“Take it easy Riley, she might not be your biological daughter but she’s still somehow your daughter and she still answers your name”
“So much audacity from an adulterous woman like you”
“Come if it, none of us are holy so stop trying to make me look like the devil”
“Trust me Phoebe You’re definitely worse than the devil because I’m sure his standing some where right now taking notes on how to be a devil.”
“You see this is exactly what made me fall for you, your great sense of humor”
“Girl you need a psychiatrist”
“Whatever, back to what I was saying, we’d be throwing a birthday party at your place and by the way why did disable my debit card? Do You know how embarrassing it was to shop and not being able to pay?”
“Phoebe get the hell out of my office” I screamed
“Fine, forget about the card, what of our daughters birthday? What are you going to do about it?”
“First off all, she is not my daughter and secondly I don’t give a mum”
“Come on Riley the poor girl didn’t go nothing to you, I did”
“Throw her a birthday party at her father’s house”
“Come on She doesn’t know you’re not her father and honestly I don’t plan on telling”
“That’s your business not mine”
“I knew you were going to say, but just do this for us, just for old times sake, you remember we used to be one big happy family before you decided to spoil it?”
“I decided to spoil it? Girl you are sick”
“I know boo, but if you didn’t start listening to the lies people had to say we wouldn’t have gotten to this stage, we’d still be one big happy family, Damn I miss the good old days”
“Thank God I listened to those lies, I knew you were evil but I didn’t know it has gotten to this extent, how can a human with conscience do what you did? If it was just Daisy that isn’t my biological daughter I would have understood to an extent, I’d say You had to cheat on me probably because I wasn’t treating you well enough, I would have come up to a dumb reason to forgive you but no Anna is not also my daughter, do you have any idea the kind of betrayal I felt? I bet you wouldn’t”
“Get over it Riley, it’s already in the past”
“I should get over it, do you have any idea of what I lost when I choose you and that pregnancy that I thought was mine?”
“I don’t know and I don’t care”
As soon as she made that statement, I picked my phone and called the security.
“Who are you calling?” She asked.
“You’ll see them when they get here”
“Riley why are those guys coming over here?”
“Take this woman out here” I said to the security man.
“Okay sir, this way ma’am”
“Riley don’t do this to me”
“And one more thing” I said to the security men. “This should be the last time I see this woman anywhere near any of my properties”
“Okay sir” they said and carried her away.
“Riley please, don’t do this to me” I heard her scream but I didn’t even bother looking at her.
