Le’Ann reached the apartment and rushed in the door. The smell of smoke and sulfur was sickening. There were powder blast marks on the main living room wall and the curtains were cinder. She didn’t see evidence of any other fire nor did she see her best friend.  Rushing into Katt’s bedroom she heard the water running. NO, NO, NO… Worst thoughts, be gone! Stopping thinking that! OH THANK GOODNESS! Katt lay in the clawfoot tub with the water running fully and ice cold.  The tub was partially full thanks to her heel stopping up the drain partly. She was out like a light and naked.  “KATT! Wake the hell up!
