Chapter Sixty nine: Winning factor

"I present to you the outstanding Glowing Sword!!" The forger announced.

Mia took the sword as she lifted it high into the air. Just as the forger had named the sword, is the way she had seen it. The sword was a glowing one, but Mia was confused. The crystal he gave to him wasn't a glowing crystal, how could the sword have been a glowing one.

"I know you're confused. I might need to apologise for not informing you before I forged it, but I think forging a sword for you using an emperor Minotaur beast crystal won't be too good, so I resulted in using a legendary tier phoenix beast crystal." The forger said.

Mia was surprised, she hadn't expected it. It was like she was being bless to meet this forger. The forger had gave her two expensive things in just a day just because of her battle against a Minotaur.

A legendary Phoenix Sword and an higher tier Gauntlet, it was more than enough for Mia.

"I couldn't thank you enough for what you did, but I brought you a gift also." Mia said as she handed a sealed box to the man. Inside the box are several crystals but the forger can't know until he opens it.

The forger cheerfully receive the gift and he kept it in a corner of his shop.

Mia bid him goodbye and the man wished her luck in the contest.

Mia was so happy about the sword, it was the exact type of sword she had always longed to have in possession, an now someone had given her for free.

She kept the sword inside her sheath in hopes of using it in the game arena. One thing is certain about the sword, since it is made out of a phoenix beast crystal, it will have an elemental power of blazing fire.

With it's glowing ability, it will have enough durability and it will be able to penetrate almost everything in existence. There won't be a need of infusing much Mana when it comes to slaying.

Mia got to the arena and she got crowded all over with people who are asking details about herself.

She didn't say anything as he was in haste of leaving everybody's sight. After she managed to leave the public space where every human is allowed to watch the game, she got inside the mini space where the people bets on who they choose as the winner. As soon as the crowd saw her, they left what they were doing as they ran towards her.

"Look at us, we are your fans."

"You gotta win this babe!"

"We love you Mia!"

"You can do it, I know it!!"

"I want to be like you Mia."

"Please adopt me as your child."

Mia giggled within herself before replying to their comments.

"Don't worry guys, we got this!" Mia replied and the whole crowd echoed with Joy.

While all this was happening, Mia had seen Roselle at a corner with some kind of cap on her head. She did this because she was already popular for her first win, if people happens to know that she's there, there would be a lot of fussing. So she decided to keep low.

Even though she had the cap on her head and the change of appearance, Mia could still see that it was her, she could see the smile on her face, radiating with her feminine beauty. She indeed is a beauty,

"Just like me." Mia said as she entered the main arena where the game will be taken place.

The remaining five contestant were already seated but she was amazed as she saw two more contestant joining them, they were both females and as they saw Mia they were so happy that they waved at her, but they quickly cautioned themselves. It was like they were trying to act like the contestant who had been silent the whole time, but as they Mia their spirits was lifted up with Joy.

To be honest, the two girls had joined because they saw how Mia had fought in the arena and they also felt like they could do so, if not better than her.

Mia loved their courage on joining the contest and she's hoping to give them some encouragements when the contest is over.

Apart from those two new contestant, another man had joined the contest. The man happened to be the one Mia saw earlier that day, that was fighting a plant like beast, Mr Blue.

He was in a golden armour that was shining brightly as he walks around. And on his hand is a long sword whose end was split into three.

The handle had a design of a dragon head but all that doesn't seem to attract Mia as she was focusing on how fast she would end the match.

The contest is all about beast slaying, yes, but it won't be fun if something is not added. We said that each contestant must be able to defeat the beast that another contestant defeats. And what if they were all able to defeat the same beast up to the emperor tier, and they refused to move further, what else will be done? How will we know the real winner?

Simple, the winning factor is how fast each contestant defeats a beast.

During the battle of a contestant and a beast, the time spent to defeat it will be recorded and if the person was the first to defeat a basic tier beast, his name will be written down but that doesn't make him the real winner as the winner will be determined when every contestant fights their last beast.

Each contestant, (Now nine in number), were taken into their individual game arenas where they would have their unforgettable battles with different beasts at different tiers.

A horn was blown signalling for the beginning of the contest. Each contestant is given a basic tier beast to fight and the beast happens to be a Giant Mud Crab.

Actually, there are no Muds on the crabs anymore because they had been captured from their habitat and they have been kept in a cage so they will be used for such a special day as this.
