Chapter Ten: Meeting the king.

Mia felt an energy rising within her and it seems like it was reacting to the anger inside her. She saw her legs transforming into something different and before anyone could notice, she punched the three girls and planned to run away. But, Ellen saw her before she could leave.

She ran inside the palace kitchen and hide inside a big Cupboard. The Cupboard was big enough to occupy her.

The transformation was complete and when Mia looked at herself, she appeared to be a dragon. A white Dragon to be premise.

"Is this why I was reborn? To be a legendary dragon forever. I don't know how I will be able to face everyone with this body of mine. Ellen will be scared to see me and I won't be able to move around freely." Mia said sadly, but she felt herself transforming back into an human. She got out of the cupboard and headed for the room.

Upon entering the room, she met Ellen sitting with her arms crossed.

And as she saw Mia, she didn't show any reaction of fear or anger. It was like she was sad about something.

"Where have you been since?" Ellen inquired.

"Ahh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to, you know, my body..That." Mia stammered, trying to explain that she didn't know what was happening to her.

"I know, I understand and I'm not scared of you. Everyone has their own secret to keep and be assured, your secret is safe with me." Ellen said.

"Thanks sis." Mia said happily, she didn't know Ellen's attitude could change suddenly like that. "But, what about pho and the twins?" Mia asked.

"Actually, I woke them up after you were gone. They only fainted, so it wasn't something big." Ellen said smiling. It was the first time Mia would see her smiling to her. She is someone with different personalities.

And it makes Mia wonder, has she been like this before she had a sister, how had her senior brother been able to cope with her attitude and multi personal style.

*Dong* *Dong*

The palace bell rang.

"I think it's time for the selection ceremony." Mia said while Ellen gulped.

"I don't think I can be selected on the first round." Ellen said.

"Don't worry. I will apply the makeup for you and thank goodness, the palace provided clothes for you, it will make you look more gorgeous and beautiful like a queen." Mia reassured Ellen.

She is going to try every of her possible best to let Ellen win this selection ceremony.

After Mia was done with the dressing and makeup, and Ellen was all set to go, she covered her head with a shawl and she left the room with Mia for the selection hall.

On their way to the hall, they met Pho and the two twins on the way and they also had shawl covering their heads. Pho scoffed as she saw them and continue walking up front.

They got to the entrance of the hall and Mia was told to stay outside.

She knew this would happen, so she had prepared to go somewhere else.

Since the Queen will be with the king's mother for the selection of the bride, the amount of guards that will be guarding the Queen's chamber will be lessened.

Mia just need to sneak inside her room. And luckily, she was able to sneak into her room without the guards knowing.

Even though no one slept in the room, it was so clean and neat. The books were perfectly arranged and the smell of roses were all smelling in the room.

Mia took a look at her room and she remembered how she had lived as a princess. After some while, she started searching for what really brought her to the room. She brought out a book that was safely hidden in a hole inside her inner room.

The book was the book that the seventh Chief gave to her before he was murdered.

It contains some crucial information that she could use to have her revenge on the second chief.

"My revenge starts tomorrow." Mia said with all attention. But then, she heard someone entering the room. She quickly hide inside the wardrobe before the person could see her. But she was shocked by the words of the person that entered.

"Les, I know you're there. Stop hiding and come out. It's me your crown prince." The person said.

' My crown prince? am I having illusions or what??' Mia thought, not believing what was happening. But when the person kept on calling for her, she finally got out of hiding.

And the person happened to be the King. King Darwin Jr of the Darwin kingdom.

"Your highness." Mia said as she bowed to the king.

"Why are you hiding from me Les?" he asked. But Mia didn't want the king to know her true identity, so she planned to deny her identity of being Les.

"I'm sorry your highness but I'm not Les."

"But what are you doing in this place?" king Darwin Jr asked. Mia was speechless as she didn't know what to say to defend herself. Until she finally decided to confess to be Les.

"I'm sorry your highness. I didn't mean to lie to you." Mia finally said and the king moved towards Mia to hug her and they both were shedding tears as they hugged.

"I'm sorry for leaving you alone." Mia said.

"There's no need to be sorry. I'm the one that should be sorry for not being able to rescue you before you were executed. I'm really sorry Les." The king apologized to Les.

"I knew you tried your best, but I think I was fated to be executed that day. So don't worry yourself about the past. I'm here now." Mia said with excitement and the king smiled at her.

But something was bothering Les, and after thinking about it severally, she can't help but ask the king the bothersome question.

"How did you know that I am Les?" Mia asked. The king stared intently at Mia and then he answered her question.

"Ellen told me about you." The king answered.
