Chapter Ninety nine: The nominated candidates

"The next contestant, Luis."

A man with a long black hair tied up with a rope at the end of the hair, summersaulted as he enter the arena of the palace. He displayed a few tricks and movements of the snake shadow skill and also he displayed a few martial arts skill that he could. People applauded him and the third contestant came in, this one was like a young professor because he had a glass on and in his hands is a book, that had the description written; how to become a powerful Magician and wizard.

"Hello guys, my name is Dar, I am a magician and I've written several spells and magic tricks that could be used to train you guys to become like me." Dar said but the people were silent, watching the display of madness. "Applaude me, didn't I try?"

But the whole arena was as silent as a graveyard.

"Okay, you don't believe me, then I'll make you believe. I am pretty sure that I'll be the next leader of this kingdom." Dar said and immediately, he changed into a wizard in a wizard robe. His glasses had been removed and he can see clearly like a normal person.

"This is one of the tricks I could do." Dar said as he changed into another thing.

He changed into an Eagle, flying around the arena, he also changed into a bat, into a snake into all sort of dangerous and wide animals, driving fears into the hearts of the people. Making kids to cry and old folks to shiver in fear.

The people were so terrified that they started throwing dirt and stones at Dar for him to leave the arena.

After he left, the next person to show herself to the people happened to be Mia. She had changed into a pretty dress so she could be more attractive and pretty to everyone.

Greg and Kyra were given the chance to watch what was going on in the arena so they were guarded by some guards.

Lydia and James had already arrived at the arena and due to the communication that Roselle had with them, they were able to locate where Greg and Kyra were. Their plan is to pretend to be serving maid, and to rescue Greg and Kyra, they need to make the guards drunk so they could escape.

Greg and Kyra would have escaped while they were at the prison but because the iron bar used as a gate to block the entrance of the prison is a thick one and because there are more guards that are guarding the ball room and prison than before. That's why mia had told them to have some patience till they come up with a plan of escaping.

James and Lydia has dressed up as female serving maids and in their hands are wines that had a sleeping spell added to it. Roselle was the one who had added the sleeping spell to the wines so that the guards could drink and sleep off while they escape with Greg and Kyra.

Mia was the number four nominated contestant and as she appeared before the people in a white and pretty gown, a silver crown to match and a silver shoe to fit, the people awed at how beautiful she is.

Even Kyra and Greg can't take off their eyes from her.

"Wow, Mia is so pretty." Greg said.

"Is she always this pretty? She's more prettier than I?" Kyra said feeling a bit jealous.

"Hey don't say that. I am your lover and you are pretty just as Mia is pretty." Greg said and Kyra felt so happy that she kissed him for the first time ever. The kiss was so affectionate that they didn't let go for over a minute even though they were prisoners and they had the guards watching them.

The two of them blushed as their cheeks went red.

"Wow, she is so pretty!"

"Is she also a nominated candidate?"

"Sure she is, but she's so pretty."

"Wish I could be like her."

Mia cleared her throats, trying to call the attentions of those who are daydreaming about her beauty.

"My name is Mia, I am the Conqueror who I think some people knew about. I'm not greedy for the position of being a leader of this kingdom, I just want to let you guys know that there's a war ahead of us and we all need to prepare for this. Sooner or later, Arthur and his evil forces will be upon us but I can't just stand and see the people of this kingdom perish right in front of me. So I'm advising you guys to be united as one. Very soon, all the kingdoms will be one and there will be a single leader with a large amount of people under him. It could be you it could be anyone. Thank you." Mia ended her speech and the people shocked by her words applauded her more than they ever did before.

What was more surprising was that, the people started echoing the word Long live the Conqueror.

"Long live the Conqueror!!"

"Long live the Conqueror!!"

After the hailing died down a bit, someone shouted from the crowd;

"Show us your dragon form!"

As the people heard this, they all started shouting.

"Show us your dragon form!!"

"Show us your dragon form!!"

Mia had no other choice but to show them her dragon form. She activated her shape shifting ability and she turned into her dragon form. A white beautiful dragon with a blue claw foot. She flapped her wings as she flew high into the sky, displaying her beautiful dragon wings.

"I don't know dragons could be so beautiful as this."

"She is just as beautiful as her dragon form."

"I will vote for her no matter what."

Mia shifted into her human form and she exited the arena but instead of throwing stones and dirt on Mia, they started cheering her and lots of buffets was sent to her.
