Chapter 110: A new System

Slowly Mia's eyelids started to lift open and her vision started to return. Her head felt heavy and her body was slightly sore. As she lifted herself off the ground, she touched her head to see if she had gotten any injuries.

"Why does my head hurt so much?"

After making sure her skull hadn't split open from falling over, Mia looked the room she was in. It was a student's room. A one room flat apartment.

She took a look at herself and saw that she was not in her real body but someone else's body. Mia felt bad as the thought of her being reborned again struck past her.

"Am I reborn again? But what into?"

She proceeded to the bathroom of the apartment to view who she was as in the mirror. She was surprised when she saw that she is in the body of another girl. But this girl is so pretty than Mia. And her dress looks more classic than the ones Mia had on.

Mia checked around the house to see if he could see anything about the girl she had her body, but unfortunately, she could find none.

"What! But how! How did I ended up here?" Mia thought.

Somehow, Mia find herself in the body of a pretty girl whose name and identity is unknown. When she fall down the portal into the future, it this where she fell to. Who made her enter the body of this innocent little girl?

But then, something struck past her mind. She saw the past of the body of the lady she was in. How she was given birth to, how she ended up losing her parents, how she became an orphan and the government started taking care of her till she clocks 18 and gets a better Job.

How she was bullied, what happened in a few minutes ago...

Yes, what happened in a few minutes ago. She saw that the girl opened a book and miraculously the book floated above her face before it started turning into dust and her spirit, Mia had entered the girl, making her to pass out instantly.

"So that was what happened?"

There was also something that Mia noticed from the memories of the girl, that is she was always bullied, and she is girl who cries a lot. She could feel the pain she had went through as an orphan, and as a struggling student.

Mia then tried to think hard about what had happened just before the girl passed out. She suddenly started to see through the girl's memories that the book being lifted into the air and turned into her own spirit. Then just before the eyes of the girl closed, she heard a few words.

"What was it, it sounded like some type of system message. Is this girl also given a system like the dragon system I got?"

As she was thinking of this, a status screen had appeared right in front of her eyes.

"Wow, it's just like my dragon system but this one says that it is an human system. Or am I wrong?"

Mia noticed that on the status screen there were more tabs on the top. Then even without doing anything and just reading the tabs in her head, the screen automatically switched to the tab. The system is more advanced and easy to use than the dragon system that she once have.

On the skills tab, Mia wasn't really able to see much. Everything has been locked and slightly greyed out so she quickly moved on to the next tab, . This system seems to be a bit tougher and yet advanced than the one she have. But she's wondering if she will be the one to use this system. She moved to the next tab, .

"Can I do anything?"

The last tab was the tab and finally, it seemed like this tab wasn't locked. There is something behind it that could be interesting to test out.

"This system is a bit funny and it would be interesting if I get to try it out. But what about my other system? I haven't gotten to level 100, so how will this work together." Mia was really confused.

After checking out everything that the system had to offer, Mia had to just think about closing the system and it did. It was just the way the dragon system worked. When she thought about opening it again, a screen would immediately pop up in front of her.

Mia could only think of one thing. The book that the lady had opened was an ability, similar to the gemstones that gave James and Lydia their powers.

The only thing was that, Mia had never heard of a book that disappeared and granted the user a system like this. Not even the gemstones that were used for Lydia and James granted them a system.

The book that the lady opened are called ability books and they were designed to be learnt manually. It wasn't something that you could pick up and instantly understand how to use. Mia had no idea of this before but when she digged into the memories of the lady, she found out that these books are called ability books.

It seems like she had been brought to a world of advance technology. And lots of powers that she never gets to use, perhaps this system could have them.

A smile started to slowly appear on Mia's face. This was great news for her. This new life won't be too bad as she had thought. But there was something she want to test out. In her previous life, the dragon system had a blank tab of ability written down. It was showing that she had no ability but she's wondering if this new system would have one. So she planned to test out some things.

"Fire, fire, come on!" Mia said as he threw the palm of her hands forward.

"Ok next… Water, water, out!" Mia did the same again but there was no result.

After trying out many different things and all the abilities she had seen before, it turned out she was unable to perform any of them, like her previous system.

"What the hell is this useless thing. Is it really just a system ability. While can't I have something as interesting as Lydia's ability?"

Mia thought about it for a while. In her first system, just as long as she keeps on completing the quests she would eventually get stronger and unlock more skills. If she only she had gotten the chance to read the book that the lady saw. But something was worrying Mia. How did the girl came across such book, she searched all of her memories but unfortunately, she got nothing.

The only thing she discovered is that the book was a precious book given to her by someone important. The person was unknown, and to proceed with some other things, Mia focused on something else. How to complete the quests given to her.

Usually, ability books were based around one ability. It was important for a person to select their first ability book because a regular human body would only be able to perform one ability attribute. If you got telekinesis as your first ability, you would only be able to get other abilities related to this attribute. This was the same for water, and so on.

Mia scurried around the room, searching for where the fridge is. Luckily, she saw the fridge, opened it as she picked up four bottles of strawberry fruit juice.

Actually, those were the only bottles of juice present.

She immediately started downing the juice bottles one by one and without stopping, she drank the four bottles of juice in a go.

"Wow, I feel like I could continue."

Just at that second, a new notification message had appeared.

"That's way too small from when I have the dragon system. What type of system is this?" Mia grinned.

Suddenly, a loud knock could be heard at the door. The knock was so loud that the door almost collapsed from the way it was banged. Curious to know who the person is, Mia quickly went to open the door. But Mia was shocked when she saw that the person standing in front of her was a large, muscular, bald-headed man wearing a green military uniform. There were several stars on it and his name written just above his ċhėst. 'Seargent Nick'.

"Do you want to keep on living like a brat for the rest of your life?" Weren't you told to wait at the park till the bus arrives!"

"Well, it is time for you to vacate your room immediately. The vehicle has been waiting outside for 10minutes already."

Mia was wondering what she would say next, she must try to act like she is the real girl.

"It's time for you to head to the Ability School."
