Chapter Fifty Nine: The Cursed Kingdom

Roselle became the seer's disciple while Greg would always help out in the kingdom. With his supernatural strength, he would help the old people and those who are tired, to carry their heavy things. And once in a while he would visit Mia to ask if she need anything.

Before they could move on to the next kingdom, Mia had planned to expand the blazing wing kingdom, in case anything bad happens in the future and people needs a place for protection, the blazing wing kingdom would gladly accept them in. The construction of the mage academy and the knight academy is still in progress and all seems to be going on well in the kingdom.

But, on a sunny day, Mia had received a letter from the Darwin Kingdom, the letter was written personally by king Darwin.

The contents of the letter read as thus;

"Mia, the stone kingdom have taken over twenty two kingdoms and many people have been held as slave under his command, with the look of things, it seems like he's making his way towards the north kingdoms, all the south kingdoms is now being ruled over by Arthur. Be quick before he rules over every one of us in the north kingdom.

I miss you Mia, from King Darwin."

"So this guy is trying to put every one under his command. I guess I need to act fast before he does, I still have a lot of kingdoms to visit in this north side. Once every knows about my presence, the blazing wing kingdom will get more expanded and all the kingdoms will become one." Mia said as she rounded up all what she had to do and she called for Ajay and the master knight of the kingdom.

She handed all the files and documents that are necessary for the construction of the mage academy and the knight academy to the Master knight. She placed him in charge of everything and the master knight promised to do his best to ensure that the construction keeps on progressing.

After that, she called for the seer as she explained that they need to move on to the next kingdom. The seer agreed and they all got prepared to move out the following day.

The two kids will be following the seer same for Ajay, Mia had chosen him because of his faithfulness to her and for his experience in battle. Not only that, but Ajay is a skilled swordsman.

The next day came and they all set out to the next kingdom, the whole kingdom bid them goodbye as they left the blazing wing kingdom.

They got to the next kingdom whose kingdom is called the cursed Kingdom. Presently, they have no king and there was no one they could pinpoint to be their leader, all the knights of the kingdom didn't care about the protection of lives and properties, not even to talk of stopping the occurrence of crime in the kingdom.

Corruption and all other bad things kept on occuring in the kingdom but the knights did not care about it at all, since there was no king or leader to order them, they left everything to be as it is.

Mia was surprised on how people were being slayed in the opened, how thieves would often rob stores and houses in the open with no one to stop them.

"I guess we have a lot of Job to do here." Mia said as they head for a bar. They couldn't find anywhere to sleep so they decided to rest for some while in the bar, even though they won't be buying anything.

Several people, both males and females were seated in the bar having a drink or two of the alcohol they bought.

Mia and the others sat down, the two kids were also with them and they all sat down as they look around the bar at the people who were having their own good time drinking alcohols and rums.

As they were seated on the chair of the bar, they kept on hearing different types of discussion from every corner of the bar.

A young man in his middle thirties was the one who had started the discussion, he is a bald man and while he was talking, he had a bottle of rum in his hands.

"Do you guys know why we don't have a king after the last one was captured by the stone kingdom?" The man asked and people started giving out different types of answers.

"I heard that the king killed his successor, thereby no one could become king." a woman answered.

"No, the son of the king said that he refuses to ascend the throne until his father is back."

"That's wrong, I heard that the crown prince have a deadly sickness that can never be cured by any medicine." another replied.

The man who had asked the question was getting angry by all the stupid answers they are giving him.

"Shut up everyone! That's not the reason." The man shouted.

"Have you forgotten that all the past king of our country do not exceed the fifth year on the throne that they would have died or maybe gone missing, or captured as slaves. We are all cursed in this kingdom, we are the cursed people!" The man shouted and the others started murmuring within themselves.

When they had approached the kingdom at first, Mia had been wondering why the kingdom was named the cursed Kingdom, but now that she heard what the man had just said, she had an hunch that something occured that made this kingdom to be called the cursed Kingdom.

But while she was thinking of this, something in her mind is telling her to be careful on what she do in this kingdom.

She doesn't know what trap had been laid down for her, so she must be careful with every step she takes.

Mia rose up from where she was seated and went towards the man who had the bottle of rum in his hands.

"Why don't we have a quick discussion outside?"
