Chapter Six: Entering the palace

A young maid entered the room with a small tray in her hands. And on the tray was a cup of tea and a small kettle.
"Good morning, young madam. Big madam instructed me to serve you this tea once you're awake." the lady said.
"What's your name?" Mia asked.
"Ara." she answered instantly with her heads bowed to the ground.
"Where are they?" Mia asked. "Where is everyone??"
"They are at the palace. The west village princes arrival ceremony is today, so every Noble is called to attend." Ara said.
'West village princes?... Alex and Jake? Didn't the king banned them from entering the palace.' Mia was wondering. The two princes that were bore to the king by the Royal concubine were banned from entering the palace because they are a threat to the crown prince in becoming a king. Although they have the prince's role, they weren't allowed to stay in the palace because of the king's decree.
But seeing them entering the palace with some kind of ceremony, made Mia wondered why the king changed his mind.
"Ara, who's the present king?" Mia asked.
"His Royal Highness, King Darwin Jr."
Mia's eye lightened up as she heard this.
"Who is the queen?" Mia asked but she didn't wait for the reply that she went outside the room.
As she got outside the room into compound she saw several horses and carriages moving towards the direction of the palace.
She decided to go into the palace at this moment.
She made sure none of them saw her and kept a few distance away from them.
They got to the entrance of a palace and there were guards stationed at the entrance. And they allowed people in and out of the place. But what was amazing was that, there were many people and horses and carriages. It's not just a noble party but the commoners are also invited.
She entered the palace and saw how beautiful and magnificent it is. It had improved in beauty to how she had left it.
She was at the area where the commoners are told to stay and dine. But they can't have the privilege of seeing the king or any other royals. So she decided to go to the Noble area. Her aim is to see who the king is and the queen.
As she tried to make her way to the door, she mistakenly fell on someone's arm. It was one of the west village prince. Prince Jake.
"Arrest her!!" A guard commanded and the other guards obeyed. Everyone gazed to look at what was happening.
"Oh no, a lady tried to steal from the prince!"
"She deserves to die!!"
They seized her and Mia was struggling to free herself from them but it wasn't easy. Her body was not in a position of what could be forcefully dragged around.
The prince looked at the stranger in front of him. He bend down to see her face very well, because he was tall. He frowned at first but it soon changed into a smile, after having a deep look at the girl in front of him.
' It's Jake, I bumped into Jake. He's become older but his face is still the same. ' Mia thought as she hide her face away from him. She actually forgot that he was a prince and she needs to bow, but the prince didn't care about it.
"You can let her go, she seemed to be looking another way when she was walking and she didn't notice that I was coming." The prince said.
"But your highness...!" The chief attendant retorted out.
"Do you want to refuse my order!" The prince shouted before leaving for the front. He was heading to where the king and his other families were seated at the Noble's area.
The king threw out a welcome party for his brothers, the two princes. Although, they were not of the same mother, still he love them dearly. Ever since Les had been executed, and his father, King Darwin had been dead, he's been lonely. And having the queen by his side was nothing to be compared to when Les was with him.
The king in the throne is King Darwin Jr. The formal crown prince who had been crowned as king a few years ago. He is the seventh king of their village, and he have only one queen who still haven't bore him any child.
The guards let go of Les and before she could fall, a lady grabbed her hands.
"She is my sister, don't treat her like scum if you don't want your head cut off." The lady said.
"We're sorry young madam, we didn't know." the guards said as they tried to catch up with the others.
"You should have come to the Special advisor's family spot instead." The lady said to Les in a scorning tone.
"I've never been to this kind of party, so I don't know where to sit." Les tried to pretend as Mia.
The lady took Les to the spot where they are suppose to be.
Les could see a young man and an adult woman, who she had seen a while ago, sitting down with different types of food placed in front of them.
She sat down and the lady who had brought her started speaking.
"Mother, Mia's here." she said.
The adult woman turned to look at Mia who bowed as she saw her.
"You've already slept off before you got home yesterday and we weren't able to talk yesterday." The woman said with a smile
Mia also smiled and she replied back to her. "I was so tired that's why."
"No problem, we'll discuss things at home." the old lady replied.
"Mother, let Mia present her gift also since she's here." the other lady said, her name is Ellen.
"Okay, no problem. I'll just prepare the gift." The older female said.
' Now that I got a second chance, I won't let you go, second elder. You killed my family and Les. But, You won't be able to kill Les this time. Because, she is Mia. ' Les Thought.
