Chapter 104: A promise to help

In the second dungeon...

Six guards had been told by the grand Duke to bring out the two prisoners to the arena of the kingdom where the election is being held.

They changed the clothes that the two kids had on as they changed into white robes. After they both have changed into the white robes, they were taken to the arena as they sat down in front of every other people that had came to watch the last segment of the election. The six guards all sat beside the two kids, to prevent them from escaping.

When Kyra, Greg and Roselle got to the second dungeon, they saw that it was empty. The door of the dungeon was unlocked and there were no guards around the area.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Greg asked.

"I guess so. They are headed to the arena. Let's go." Roselle said as she ran towards the arena, holding Greg and Kyra as she ran at a full speed. She did this so they could catch up with James and Lydia but unfortunately, they were unable to catch up with them as they had already got to the arena before they could even think of going to the second dungeon.

"What do we do? I can't find them anywhere near this place." Kyra said.

"You're not looking well enough." Roselle said pointing out towards the direction of James and Lydia. "That's them but they have guards beside them. It won't be easy to take them when they are there."

"Then what do we do? We can't let them sacrifice them because of some coronation or leader stuffs. We need to do something." Kyra said.

"I would suggest we call the conqueror and inform her of the development. We can't say she would be the leader, because she show no interest of being one. And the only way we could save those two is if someone of an high position stops them from being sacrificed." Greg said.

"Yeah, we need to tell the conqueror to win this election at all cost. But it ain't gonna be easy. She already have the mind of only participating in the game and not of winning. We need to do something right now." Roselle said as her mind was thinking of different types of things.

"At least inform her of the situation we are in." Kyra said and Roselle called the Conqueror, explaining how far she had gone in carrying out the order she gave her.

"What?" Mia exclaimed. "They are going to use them as sacrifice to the new leader??"

Mia felt really bad as she heard this.

"The only solutuon is if you choose to win this election. Will you win this election or not?" Roselle asked.

"I will do my best." Mia said before remembering something. Someone passed in front of her and it happened to be min min, the second in power to her. There's something that min min had requested from her yesterday while they were both discussing.

Min min, Mia and Luis were the only contestant left for the third and last segment of the election and the trio had become friends of each other.

It was just yesterday, while Mia, Luis and Min min were having a conversation of their own. Min min had shared in his discussion that all the other contestants are all his brothers and they all have voted for him to be the next leader, even Luis is also among his brothers and he also had voted for him to be the leader.

To not raise suspicion, they all have decided to participate with him and later at the second and third segment, they would drop out of the election so Min min could proceed on being the next leader.

Mia understand and felt how connected these brothers would have been to each other to be able to do such a thing. It is a rare thing to see a brother dropping out from being great all because his brother or sister also wants to be great.

Min min had continued his speech as he requested something from Mia and when he requested, it happened to be that he want Mia to drop out from being the leader while he becomes one. To convince Mia, he explained how poor they are and how they had to do some dirty jobs so they should survive. He also explained that they all had no parents as they were all born and left all alone to suffer in the coldness and hotness of life.

Mia would never experienced such thing like that felt pity for min min and his brothers that she finally gave in and had to promise them she won't fight for the position of being a leader. Actually, she really didn't promise, she only said she would help them out. They rehearsed how the fight of today will go on without causing any harm or damage to the other and also to not raise suspicion among the people.

Another reason is so people won't think that the conqueror is a weak person so she would just quit the competition and declare min min winner.

Mia agreed to do so and since then, min min and the conqueror had become the best of buddies.

The day she would be helping him out was today but now that they have to save two of their friends which would automatically have the hands of being in an high position, Mia is thinking of going against Min Min's wish and later, apologize to him.

But she knew how hard it will be for him to forgive her even if she explains all what Happened that caused these.

"Roselle, I will help out James and Lydia, don't worry. Just take care of the other matter at hand. You guys should leave this part to me, I will deal with it in my own way." Mia said.

"I wish you luck, conqueror." Roselle said blowing a kiss to her.

"Thank you guys." Mia said and the call ended.
