There was a moment, where everything—absolutely everything—seemed to stop. I seemed to forget where I was and what I was doing there, as well as who I was and why I needed to get as far away from there as I possibly could. The single, most insignificant thing that had managed to take control of my thoughts, was the pain. The searing, aching, burning pain that seemed to spread from the tips of my toes, to the tips of my ears. I was slowly becoming aware of the metallic scent that had started to fill the air, and I knew that I was right in guessing that it was blood. There were dark clouds that were starting to dance through my vision, slowly drifting in from the corners of my eyes. I guessed that it was only a matter of time until those dark clouds were all that I could see. I wasn
