The room was filled with tense silence as the nurse conducted an examination on Blair. She was sitting on the gurney with her shoulders tensed up and her eyes glaring daggers into the nurse whenever she was touched. I believe that I would have found the sight amusing if my mind hadn’t still been reeling with the memory of what had happened with the cetrimide solution. My focus moved to the nurse, watching as she stepped back to survey Blair from a farther distance before she turned to me, lifting her stethoscope and putting it around her neck.
