The Phone Call

1099 Words
Beta Jameson went to his door to see the guard standing there. It was one of the twins, "Excuse me, but I was wondering if I could go see my daughter and say good night to her?" Benson raised an eyebrow and almost started laughing, "Let me get this straight, you can't stand your daughter, and now you want to play the role of loving father? I don't think so." Jameson gripped the door rather hard and thought about the fact this man knew nothing of the pain of losing a mate. This twin is lucky he is who he is. Jameson slammed the door and let out a frustrated sigh. This isn't going the way it's supposed to. You need to calm down before you f**k it all up for us. Jamie said to Jameson. Shut up, not in the mood to deal with you. That b***h killed our beloved and all you can do is tell me to calm down. I need to go f**k something or beat something. You know that. Jameson locked up Jamie in his mind before he did something he regretted. Instead, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and angrily pulled up Alpha Nicholson's number and typed angrily you up? Instead of getting a text message like he had hoped for, he instead got a call. On the 2nd ring he answered. Nicholson: So what do we know? What do you have to report? Jameson: Well, on the east wall there are at least four guards that are hidden. They hide in plain sight. Nicholson: So is it safe to assume that it's like that all the way around? Jameson: I would assume so. I didn't get to see very much. I have only been in the courtyard, main dining room, and guest room. I have seen some, but I'm not sure that it will be enough. Jameson paused before he continued," I have something else to tell you that you might not like. Nicholson's voice dropped an octave: What? Jameson: So I forgot to take out the chip from her arm, I got caught trying to take it out, and as a result, Master Alpha Alec made the decision that we are no longer to get five warriors, but two. His exact phrasing was take it or leave it. Nicholson: What the f**k? How could you be so f*****g stupid? How could you let that happen? God-damn it man. I have given you one task. One f*****g task. It was so easy! Get the girl there, tell her what to do and what's at stake. Then, once you are there, you are to get the best as a headcount of warriors. You have to get the lay of the land. You had to figure out where the warriors stood. I need to know this information if I am going to take over. Jameson: Yes, Alpha. I shall try. I'm sorry I messed up so badly. I will see what I can do to fix this. Nicholson: Yes, you will. Or consequences will be caused. Nicholson hung up at that point and Jameson threw his phone on the bed. He started pacing in the bedroom. If he could just find the bedroom that she was in. He could use that as a way to get to what he needs. Jameson went to the door once more. A different guard this time. This guy was younger, so maybe, just maybe he was inexperienced so that he could get past him with some excuse to see her. ********************************************* Beta Michael walked into Master Alpha Alec's office. He noticed the hole in the wall, but didn't say anything. He smirked a little before going to the bar and pouring himself a drink. He sat down in the big comfy chair across from the desk. Alec began pacing and running his hands through his hair. He hadn't been like this in a long time. Michael held back a laugh. Alec looked over at his oldest and most trusted friend. "What is so damn funny?" Michael: You look like s**t my friend. What troubles you so much? Alec: Don't you dare laugh, damn it. Michael put his hands up as if to defend himself while smirking,... "alright, alright, alright. Seriously bro, what's going on? What has you so twisted?” Alec continued to pace, "Well for starters, I don't trust Beta Jameson's reason for being here. I don't trust Alpha Nicholson. I don't like the reasoning behind us helping Clan Blackwell. And as it turns out, they are both assholes. However, the way this turns out, that girl, his daughter, Angeline, is my...my..ah f**k my mate." At that point he stopped to look at Michael. Michael sat there just looking at Alec. "Sit down before you wear a hole in the carpet." Alec sat down heavily in the computer chair. The chair never even groaned under the weight of Alec. Alec slammed his fist down on the heavy oak desk and grunted. His hand hurt from that, but it brought him back to reality. He looked over at Michael, who was now openly laughing. "What is so f*****g funny?" Alec practically screamed. "You are so twisted up over this girl, Angeline, that you can't even think straight. You've got it bad my friend. You are already in love with her and you haven't even seen her. You have already determined that, no matter what, you aren't giving her up. So, tomorrow, after her sorry excuse of a father leaves, go and see her. You only need to go up one flight of stairs and three doors down on the left. And as far as Clan Blackwell goes, the boys will tell us how it goes," Said Michael. The girls said that Beta Jameson seemed shady and kind of off. They don't trust him. He keeps trying to figure things out about the house and the rooms and how it goes. He even asked Benson to go see Angeline. Benson promptly told him no and that he was lucky to be alive." Alec looked at Michael, "I wonder what they really want. A couple of scenarios have run through my mind. Number one, they truly need help because they are that weak. Number two Nicholson just wants to treat this girl like some kind of prostitute to get what he wants. Number three he is staging a cue and wants to take over as Master Alpha. Number four. All of the above. What do you think?”
