I need to find her

Mark's Pov

After kicking those girls out, I sat down on the couch looking at the anniversary card placed on the coffee table. I had completed forgotten about it but in my defense, I was busy with work. That is still not an excuse to cheat on her after all. I am a mess.

Katherine was supposed to be a one time thing after my obsession with her after college but the more I hung out with her the more I wanted to be near her even if it was just cuddling at night. I thought that it was because she was something i couldn't get so i tried harder to get her. At our first anniversary she gave herself to me and god it was the best night of my life.

Although she wasn't a virgin she was too reserved when we started dating but that night she turned into a vixen and I was completely satisfied for the first time in my life. I did notice the tiny details of the possibility of her using me to vent sometimes but i wasn't complaining loved how flexible she was and i knew i couldn't get enough of her. She is like a drug, the moment drink, the more addictive it becomes.

Everytime we were together I felt warm inside and even my penthouse felt more like home whenever she was here. I loved how it smelled when she was cooking or how she looks in my T-shirt. I really messed up big time, didn't I?

Not only did I cheat on her with not one girl but many other, not only did I forget our anniversary but got her heart broken and not only was I cheating on her but I brought them to our house. Our house!? The list goes on and on.

Yeah this was supposed to be a safe place for her but I completely disregarded that. I don't think she'll ever forgive me or step inside this place. Maybe she will find someone who can make her happy and love her the way she deserves to be loved.

What!!! No way am I letting another man touch my woman and no way will she ever love someone else who isn't me. I thought. I worked so hard just loose her like this?

I got up from couch and headed towards the shower to get myself cleaned because I don't want to show up at her house smelling like a h**.

After the shower i got dressed and called my realtor to get the penthouse sold because I have to win my Kathy back and staying in this place won't do me good.

I got in my car and went towards her home. When I got there I found her cousin Tony with some guys holding a door , when he saw me he looked pissed. I knew what I had done was wrong and I wouldn't expect any less of anger from him because he loved her very much and does everything to protect her.

He punched me in the face when I got close to him and although I was angry at that , I knew i deserved it. I won't defend myself and just acknowledge the fact that i did this. I broke my Katherine's heart.

" She's gone!!" Tony said without looking at me.

" What do you mean she's gone? " I asked him

" She received a job offer a month ago but wanted to reject it but thanks to you, I don't know when I'll see my lil sis because she took it and left. I am really disappointed in you Mark. Stay as far away from her as possible. She is heartbroken and she deserves to be happy after everything she's been through and everything you put her through!!" Tony said.

" Look Tony, i know I messed up and I wasn't thinking straight at all. I've got problems but I love Katherine, I love her so God damn much that I am willing to do anything as long as she forgives me. I know I hurt her and I will make it up to her but I can't give up on her ,I Love her. I was stupid and I promise I would never hurt her intentionally or unintentionally. Please I need to see her and apologize to her.I don't want to lose her." I said and I haven't realized that I was crying.

" She's not here , I told you that already. Love her? should you love her the way you say you do then you wouldn't have done what you did. I will look for someone who will remain faithful to her and love her the way she should be love whenever she decides to come back, now leave. Reflect on what you did today and I hope you treat all ladies with respect. You should go before i act on my thoughts looking at you." Tony said impatiently whilst checking on the road.

" I will change, I promise. I will be worthy of her." I said and didn't let him respond when I left because I knew he wouldn't tell me where she was.

I went to my uncle's home to talk to Clair and Nellie since they were close to her and maybe they could help me win her back or maybe know where she is.

I got there after two hours because of traffic. I found Nellie still in her work clothes.

" Why are you still wearing your work clothes?" I asked her.

"I just got home 10 minutes ago" she said whilst avoiding my eyes.

" I'm guessing you are here because of Kat?" she asked sounding pissed off.

" Yeah , how did you know?" I asked her.

" I was with her earlier and she didn't look good. I'm guessing you had something to do with that?"

Nellie said looking at Claire who just walked in wearing her business suit.

Claire said hi to all of us and looked at Nellie with narrowed eyes.

" Your shift ended four hours ago and you are still in your work clothes?" Claire asked Nellie.

" I had a last minute emergency patient and I couldn't just leave" Nellie said.

" You said you saw Katherine? when?" I asked.

" A few hours before my shift ended, she was with her aunt in the café near the hospital while running errands. You messed up big time cuz cause she was devastated when I saw her. I asked her if she was okay and wished her a happy anniversary but she said she had to go. so tell me , what did you do? " Nellie said and I could tell she was angry at me.

I told them what happened including the penthouse incident.

" you're an i***t!!" Claire said with a look of disappointment on her face, I could see traces of anger in her eyes.

" There's no coming back from that especially in the state she found you in. It will take magic or a miracle to get her to forgive you." Nellie said

" You didn't just cheat on her but you did her with her worst enemies and in a place where was her refuge." Claire said.

" What do you mean worst enemies?" I asked confused.
