Chapter 7 Owen stood in front of the windows in his office, staring through the gap in the trees where a slice of Kachemak Bay was visible. The sky was dappled with clouds with the sun striking sparks on the surface of the water. Usually the view settled him. He loved the peace offered by the spectacular natural beauty here. Aside from skiing, he’d been drawn to Alaska because its wildness and beauty offered him an easy escape mentally. Today, nothing helped. He was restless, unfocused and still stunned at Ivy’s admission last night.
