I drove back to the packhouse in a better frame of mind. I had summoned an emergency meeting in the evening involving the entire pack, and we worked on the important issues at hand. The most pressing issue was the threat looming over our heads. It wasn’t just from Kessler but also from Alpha Krueger of the Crimson Fangs Pack in the western corridor. I was afraid they would join hands and attack us. It would be difficult to defeat them with our limited number of warriors.
“We should deal with Alpha Krueger first, Alpha before he unites with Kessler.” I nodded at Dean, thinking along the same lines.
“Yes, this time we will be prepared to counterattack them. I think that will be enough to teach them a lesson they will never forget. Dean, I want to know our exact strength. G
