“Where are we going? All our stuff is at the hotel.” Alpha Augustin drove towards a dusty trail off the main road.
“Adonis cannot heal in a hotel amidst humans. I checked out of the hotel and got your stuff. We’re heading to my house.” It made my heart sink with dread. Was Adonis critically injured? What happened to him? Why was Alpha Augustiin avoiding my question?
“Alpha Valdez and his rogues attacked Adonis when he was on his way here. He connected with me, and I came over with my warriors to rescue him. The wound would have been fatal had we not rescued him on time. Now there’s nothing to worry about. It will take him some time to heal, but he’s out of danger.”
