It's been weeks already and Princess Tiara's family is already in Mercy preparing for the wedding. When they found out that Tiara wasn't marrying a crowned prince and that there was little to no help from the royal family to Logan and his mother, they offered to help. Tiara was their treasure and they wanted to give her the best wedding day possible.
Of course Clayton, Arianna and Malia were helping but it wasn't enough. A royal wedding is not something to be taken lightly and the Santana people didn't take it lightly either. They wanted the wedding to be something Tiara would remember for the rest of her life, something to share even with her kids in the future.
Gail wasn't happy about Logan getting married and Logan saw that it wasn't the fact that he was getting married to Tiara, it was something different but he didn't bother to ask. He tried to convince himself that she was just worried about the whole situation but he knew it won't change the fact that he felt like there was something more.
He always thought his mother would never hide anything from him but he wasn't sure anymore. He was also worried about the wedding tomorrow because he was sure that it was taking place and he is the one the princess is marrying, not Kaden, even with all the effort he's put into convincing the princess otherwise.
No matter how many times he tried to change her mind, he failed miserably every time. He has fought with her over small things hoping to make her think of him as a bad guy but it never worked. He even tried to make her feel unwelcome every day but she wouldn't pay attention to any of it and if she did, she never let him see how his words affected her.
He kept asking himself what was wrong with him, a girl as beautiful as Tiara was was willing to marry somebody like him and all he did was try to chase her away. Tiara grew up in a palace, surrounded by many servants who did everything for her and yet as soon as she came to his home, she prepared breakfast for everybody, made lunch as well as supper.
She never complained about anything, not even the fact that she wasn't marrying a crowned prince, on the contrary, she was happy about it. He knew he would never find someone like her and even if he did find someone as beautiful as her in his life, they would never be like her, not even half the person she is.
After trying to walk around the kingdom like he always did when he wanted to think, he realised it wasn't the same anymore. Before Tiara's arrival, he would do it for hours and never feel the need to go back home but lately, it's what he does. He would find himself going back even after trying to convince himself that he shouldn't.
He decided to go home and prepare for the fight with his younger brother later tonight. He knew it won't change anything about tomorrow's wedding no matter who won. He could just let Kaden win and marry the princess but he knew his reputation was at stake and that if he did, Tiara would hate him forever and maybe as she promised, her father would burn Mercy to the ground and he couldn't have that, his chance of persuading Tiara was over and that too with his freedom.
From tomorrow onwards, he will be trapped in a marriage he never wanted for the rest of his life and all he could do is watch and do nothing. He hated the fact that he was helpless. People may think the only thing he could do at this moment is to run away from the kingdom and never come back if he doesn't want to marry the princess but he was different, he doesn't run from his problems, he faces them.
When he got to the house Tiara was talking to her brother's wife, the future Queen of Santana Kingdom. She looked so happy and saw that they were close. He decided to avoid them and went straight to his bedroom and took a shower. When he was done he went to his closet and decided to wear something appropriate for the fight.
He went to the mirror to look at himself and felt like something was missing but he was so sure he didn't need anything more than a sword. He could fight his little brother without it but he didn't want to embarrass him, he's the future king after all. He felt someone touching his wrist and looked at the mirror again to see the princess behind him.
"Wear this, my mother told me I should always put it on your wrist every time you're going to battle. You may be fighting your brother but to me, you're going to war. I have to make sure you come back alive and in one piece."
"It is a fight to the death and you know I will never kill my brother." He looked at her and he realised she's been crying.
"So you would allow your little brother to kill you instead. How noble!" She took his hand in her small ones and put the leather bracelet in his wrist. "It's mine. It's supposed to remind you that you have something to live for. I know you would never want me in your life and that's okay but please keep it with you, if not for anything, just to make me feel better. Even if you allow your little brother to kill you, I'll be at peace knowing my husband died wearing something of mine and that I did what I had to do to as my mother told me." She kept her gaze down as she spoke.
"Why won't you look at me? You always do when you want to understand every word you say."
"What difference would it make? You never listen anyway." She looked everywhere but him.
"Have you been crying?" He tried to make her look at him but it didn't work. "Will you tell me who made you cry?"
"Prince Logan, I don't know if you haven't noticed or if you're just ignorant. Ever since I came to this house all I do is cry. I've tried being a good wife, a good daughter-in-law and a good sister-in-law but all you ever did was make me feel unwelcome every day. I had hoped that one day it will change and that you would feel the same way as I do. Ever since I was a child I've always been confident, always knew what to do in every situation but you changed me. Ever since I came to this house all I think about before doing something is how you would feel about it.
"I used to say whatever was in my mind before and if I was the same person that I was before, I would've come to you and told you how I felt about you but now, all I could do is find a safe corner where nobody would see me and cry about it. I try to keep myself busy all day by cooking and cleaning because I fear I would explode. My mother used to tell me I would face so many difficulties in my marriage but I don't think this is what she meant. I fell in love with you the day I was told I would marry a king's son who is a warrior and when I saw you talking to some palace guards I knew my heart belonged to you and you only. I wish I could've seen it sooner that you'll never feel the same. I never should've compelled you into this marriage by threatening to burn your kingdom. I know this kingdom means the world to you and I promise you that no matter the outcome of this fight between you and Kaden, I'll never burn it down. I'm sorry for ever coming into your life and complicating it, it wasn't my intention." She took a few steps towards the door and stopped, "Goodbye Prince Logan."
She made it to the door but before she could leave Logan pulled her back and locked the door. He looked at her and it broke him to see the tears that were streaming down her face.
"I'm going out there to fight someone I never thought I would fight in my life. Ever since I can remember, my family has been the only thing that mattered to me including this kingdom." He wiped the tears with both his thumbs and took both her cheeks in his hands and forced her to look at him. Her eyes held so many emotions but love and hurt were the strongest and he hated himself for ever hurting her.
"All I've ever wanted was for Kaden to be happy and I know he wanted to marry you, he was happy about it and I never wanted to take that happiness from him but in the process, I hurt you. I always believed you belong to him and that I should never take something that belongs to my brother."
"I don't belong to him, I never have and I never will. All I know is that even if he was the eldest, my heart would've chosen you still." She tried to avoid his gaze but he didn't allow her to.
"I want you to listen to me and listen very good because I don't want you to make any mistakes. I want you to promise me that you will listen and answer sincerely to any question I ask you, can you do that for me?" She nodded her head and looked at his eyes as if trying to find a clue about what he wanted to say.
"You must know that if you get married to me tomorrow you will be signing your rights as a princess away. You'll be called the princess but you will never be regarded as one, just like your husband. I'm used to it but I want you to be sure of what you're getting yourself into. You would be married to an illegitimate child and any kids we'll ever have will hold no importance to this kingdom. I want you to be sure of what you think you feel for me because I'll have to warn you, Princess, my world is very different from yours and you will spend the rest of your life trying to adjust. I want you to be sure because if I leave through that door to fight, I want to be sure of what I'm fighting for. Will I be fighting for my reputation as a warrior or you, the only woman who has managed to create a place in my heart even after I tried so much to avoid that." He looked at her and saw a smile on her face.
"You'll be fighting for the woman in front of you right now because she is sure of everything. She doesn't care about anything but you and to her, you're everything."
"Good, because there's no going back from this." He took her lips in his and kissed her as if his life depended on it. He put everything he felt in that kiss and she loved every second of it.
He deepened the kiss and Tiara couldn't hold the moan that escaped her mouth. She had no idea her mouth could make such sounds but by the soft growl that Logan released, she was sure that he liked it. He released her mouth and started kissing her neck, laying small, wet kisses and Tiara wanted him to touch her everywhere. She didn't understand what was happening to her and she didn't want to, all she wanted was for him to continue doing what he was doing and maybe even more. He picked her bridal style and put her to bed and kissed her again.
When he started kissing her breasts, she couldn't help but call out his name, not Prince Logan like she always calls him, just Logan. She was even happy that she didn't put a bra on today. He started sucking her n*****s and Tiara let out a whimper. "Logan...please" She didn't even know what she wanted.
"You want me to stop?" He did not just ask that. "Or do you want more?" If God didn't punish him then she would have to conclude that he was selfish. "I can stop if you want me to, you just have to say the word."
"Please, don't stop." She wanted to keep her voice strong but it became weak and desperate.
"Your wish is my command." He smiled at her before he continued with what he was doing. He made his way down to her navel and kissed her there too. His left hand moved down her thigh to her p***y, which was already dripping. She arched her back when he started massaging her p***y and when he inserted a finger, she cried out, not expecting it and Logan had to stop. He looked at her, causing her to shut her eyes.
"You're a virgin?" When she didn't respond, he took out his finger and stood up, running his hands in his hair. "Why didn't you say anything? What if it wasn't a finger that I used? You understand I could've hurt you."
"I'm sorry, I didn't think it would matter. I'm really sorry." She covered her naked breasts and crossed her legs. Logan went to her and took her hands in his.
"Don't ever hide from me. I'm sorry I shouted at you okay? It's just that I didn't think about it, I just assumed a beautiful girl like you couldn't be a virgin at this age. I'm sorry darlin'"
