What did he just say?
"Go!" He said firmly while looking at her.
Marahang lumapit si Jessy sa akin saka iniabot ang white folder at sobre.
I know I can easily lie about this but I'm not that coward.
"Fine! You will regret this, Jessy!" I violently pulled my folder at her.
"You can enter the room now, Jessy. And do not forget what I have said."
"Y-yes, Sir." Jessy said with shaking voice.
I looked at her badly. I know she knew what I'm capable of.
Mr. Nieva slowly approached me. He cross his two arms while staring at me. Tila may hinintay pa siyang sabihin ko.
I looked up directly in his eyes. I show no regrets or fear.
He's just our new Professor and he didn't know me very well.
The admiration I had felt for him before was soon replaced by annoyance.
"You can't scare me, Mr. Nieva," I said emphatically.
He fake his smile and smirk.
"Really? You're really unbelievable, Ms. Salvacion. Kung gayon, tingnan natin kung gaano kahaba ang sungay at buntot mo," mahina subalit mariin niyang sambit.
Nagulat pa ako ng bigla siyang magsalita ng tagalog.
He knew that I'm filipina at alam niyang naiintindihan ko ang tagalog?
That damn woman! Mamaya yari ka talaga sa akin, Jessy!
I follow him inside the room as if there's nothing happened.
My good mood changed quickly earlier. Nawalan tuloy ako ng gana umuwi kaagad sa bahay. Wala ako sa mood makipag-kwentuhan kay Lola. Sa halip ay niyaya ko na lang muna mag-starbuks sina Cathy at Rina.
I waited for Jessy to come out of school to give her what she deserve but she is with Professor Nieva. Lalo akong nanggalaiti sa inis.
I pulled Cathy and Rina right away.
"Hey, calm down!" Said Rina as she punched the air with her hand I pulled.
"Yeah, Rina's right. You almost broke our arms!" exclaimed Cathy.
"I'm sorry, girls. I just can't stand that jerk!"
"Who? Jessy or Mr. Handsome?" It's Rina.
I think they will annoy me even more. I stood up and walk towards the counter instead. I ordered my favorite coffee, strawberries and cream with a slice of mocha cake then come back to our table.
"Seriously, Hera? You just ordered for yourself?" Cathy asked in astonishment.
"My god, Cathy! I only have two arms for both of my order. Why don't you go and order for yourself?"
"What kind of a friend you are, Hera?" She said dramatically.
I rolled my eyes and ignored her. Rina goes directly to the counter and when she came back, thats the time Cathy realized she should ordered for herself too.
Hindi ko mapigilang matawa nang para siyang batang nagdadabog habang papunta ng counter.
I shook my head.
Kahit kailan talaga, gusto niya palagi siyang binibeybi.
"how's your feeling, Hera?" Rina asked worriedly.
I looked at her and smile.
"I will be okey, Rina. I just need to freshen my mind."
Totoo naman. Kailangan ko lang mag-isip ng magandang sulusyon sa problemang ito.
"Why do you think Jessy will report you and of all Professor, why Mr. Nieva? I just can't understand." Rina said while sipping her ice cold coffee.
Maging ako ay hindi alam ang sagot sa tanong na 'yan.
"They are hidding something," it's Cathy. I didn't realize she came back.
"You think so?" Ask Rina.
She shrugged her shoulder. "Maybe?"
Lalo akong namangha. Magkakilala ba sina Jessy at Mr. Nieva? Pero imposible yun! Kadarating lang ng bago naming Proffesor at ang sabi sa faculty, sa Texas pa iyon nanggaling so there's no way na magkakakilala sila.
I can’t let this happen. Huling semester na this year. Hindi pwedeng ngayon pa ako magkakaroon ng mababang grades. Siguradong mayayari ang allowance ko at free will kay Lola!
While deep in thought my cell phone suddenly rang. Si Lola!
I accept the call hurriedly.
"Yes lola?" I greet her with a jolly tone.
"Can you come home early, apo? I cooked your favorite ulam." She asked calmly.
I sigh secretly. I am not in a good mood today but how can I say no to my sweet grandmother?
"O-of course lola, actually, I'm on my way."
Rina and Cathy couldn't help but to stare at me with astonishment.
"All right then, I will wait for you, Hija, ok? Ok, bye.
I think I have a visitor." I still hear that last word she said about visitor. Maybe a neighbor came.
Hindi naman kasi siya madalas sa bahay. Sa idad niyang 60 ay kaya niya pa ring patakbuhin ang malalaki niyang negosyo na nakalaang ipapamana sa akin.
"I'm so-"
"It's okey," Cathy said with a sad face.
Here we go again. I held her hand but to my surprise she just smiled and laughed.
"It's a prank!" She screamed as if we are the only person inside.
I scratched my head. Sometimes, I think I feel ashamed because of her. But still, she is my friend and I love her. She's just pure but she is not innocent at all. Hell no! Or Maybe she just didn't care about everything.
"I'll go ahead." I said.
They both wave their hand at me. "Take care on your way. Tell Lola Belinda we miss her filipino recipe." Said Rina.
"Don't worry. One of these days, I will asked her to cooked something for us, Okey?"
They both smiled widely.
"We will wait for that. Don't break your promise!" It's Cathy.
I didn't say any promises but I just nodded since I'm already outside.
I lightly drove home. My grandma can lessen the problem I have although she's not aware about it and she don't need to know as well.
Ng makarating ako sa malaking bahay ay agad kong ipinasok ang sasakyan sa loob. But there is a new vehicle parked where my car should be.
"Whose car is this?" Annoyed I asked myself. "Maybe her visitor is really here."
Leaving without any choice, I am forced to park my car outside the garage.
Mabilis akong pumasok sa loob ng bahay. "A man's black shoes?" Takang tiningnan ko ang makintab na sapatos sa pintuan papasok sa loob ng bahay.
Sino ba ang bisita ni Lola?
"Lola, I'm home." I shouted as I walked towards the living room.
There I saw my grandmother's sad face while talking to a man sitting in front of her.
But wait.. his back is familiar to me...
No! It can't be!
Hanggang sa humarap na nga siya ng tuluyan sa gawi ko.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Salvacion." Nakangising bati ni Mr. Nieva sa akin..
