With the portal looming in front of us, I was nervous about what was to come. Rian’s comment about half of us going to a different location came back to me. I really don't want to lose my head before I have a chance to save Julia's.
Rian tosses over our bags, and they seem to just travel through the plane of magic, like simply being tossed through a doorway. They make a soft thudding sound that causes some of the pegasus to lift their heads from grazing on the grass to stare.
If the bags made it through fine, it’s safe. Right?
“You scared?” Taegan chuckles in my ear. “It’s okay if you want to back out.”
I growled at him, wondering how I ever found the annoying asshole attractive in any sense. He’s a nag.
“Are you scared? Need me to hold your hand through it?” I snapped back.
