JINGER POV The wind blew while we approached the cabin. I dropped my hands from Divya's shoulders asking her to halt her steps while I checked if the place was crystal clear. I trudged towards the empty house with calculated steps when I noticed an old-looking truck dumped at the far end. But relief washed over me when I could scent the old odor the area possessed. It seemed like whoever stayed here hadn't occupied it for a long while. "I think the place is safe for the time being," I told her through telepathy as she walked out of the rain to stand right next to me. I slightly pushed the door which creaked open but that didn't surprise me. We walked inside the dimly lit house which was like the Sahara desert on a cold night. Old, shredded curtains hung from the left and right window.
