“Are you heading home, now that it’s over?” Richard asked. Kel shook his head. “Thought I’d get dinner, first. The cookies didn’t really do it. Care to join me?” “That sounds good.” They settled on a restaurant close to Richard’s condo, got their cars, and ten minutes later were parking in the lot next to it. It wasn’t until they were inside, seated, had gotten their drinks, and ordered dinner, that Richard finally began to relax. “If I never again have to go through what happened today I’ll die happy.
